LG LED 4600 - TV power ons but nothing comes up on the screen. No sound No picture. The remote power on light indicates Red or White as and when we press the power on remote button. Please suggest

Do you at least get a blue screen? Usually with no picture you get a blue screen. Try hooking up a DVD Player to it and see what you get... Good luck...Keep me posted ..Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY.
Thank. No I do not get a blue screen. The entire screen is blank as if no power no sound. I tried pugging in the DVD player as well.
The remote works, the red and white light jumps around indicating that it is sensing the remote.

If the LED indicator turned off after you pressed the power button once, it is in standby mode. Press the power button once again to exit standby and turn on the TV.
Step 2 Observe the Standby light if the remote control will not work. If the Standby light stays on, the television is in Standby mode. Press the power button on the television, then try to use the remote.
Step 3 Turn the Energy Saving Switch off, then press the power button. The Energy Saving Switch is located on the rear or side panel on most Sony model TVs. Refer to your TV user manual for the exact location of the switch.

My name is Chris.
I have this Phillips Wide Screen TV that didn't have or come with a remote, so I had to go out and buy a universal remote for it today from a BIG W Store.
I'm having some technical difficulties & problems with switching and turning it on, but as I use the universal remote to turn on the TV, I'm having a bit of a slight problem with it turning it on, Ok, Yes, it works and Powers on, but there is nothing showing or giving me the indication that there is no picture or sound showing up on this Wide Screen Phillips TV, But there is a little red & green light at the bottome right hand corner that keeps on flashing red when ever I use the universal remote to switch the power on.
Is there a possibility, that i can get some help on here, to help me out with any suggestions, is to why I'm not getting any picture or sound showing up on this TV with this universal remote ?
Is there anyway that i can maybe get some help with this to help me out with solving my issue with the Phillips Wide Screen TV ?
Now,u plug in the tv u get a solid red standby power red LED light in the front of the LCD panel right?When u push the power button on the remote u hear a clicking sound?Only one clicking sound,not the power supply board problems.It the Tuner board problems.But u can make sure it the power board problems or not.By taking the tv aparts check the power board,that board where the a/c power cord goes into it.Look all around the power supply board check for these leakage capacitors,they alway bulges up it top or puff up it top.No bad leakage capacitors,then it not the power supply board problems.
