  • DVDcrash Sep 01, 2008

My daughter inserted a DVD and now that particular light is flashing. It won't play any DVD's, switch positions, or eject any of the discs.

HOW DO YOU TAKE THE DASH APART FOR REMOVING THE dvd PLAYER

We just bought a 2002 Chrysler minivan and do not know where to find the operators manual for the DVD player, any clue?

I guess it happens. We brought it in to the dealership, they said it was under warranty. They replaced it for the $100 deductible. Not a real solution but is probably a common occurrence.

We had the same problem. If you can take that part of the dash panels off and remove the DVD unit, unplug it, and plug it back in and put it all back together it should work. Ours did for about 4-5 months, but is now flashing again...

Dvd player in patriot turns off

If the DVD player is mounted in the dash, this is due to an interlock to avoid distracted drivers. If you tried to disable it, the unit will not work at all.

If this is a back-seat only unit, please add a comment with more information on the DVD player.

I hope this helps.

Clock fuse radio ele mirrors dvd player keeps blowing kia sedona

Same thing happened to me. My DVD player stopped working and the 15A fuse for Power 1 kept blowing. Turns out that there was a little metal ring that had fallen into my powerpoint connection on the dash. It was shorting out my DVD player. Removed the ring, installed a new fuse and DVD player is back up and running.

Controls for radio/cd player work on and off.

I had similar issues with my audio being mute intermittenly. I ended up being a penny in the CD player slot. (I think the previous owners kid put a penny thru the CD player slot) It also shorted out my DVD system, the DVD player would not come on. The dealership where I bought it seen me to GV Electronics to have my DVD player replaced, and they removed my CD Player and heard change banging around in the Player. After dis assembling it, they found the penny. Everytime I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, the audio would mute.

The haynes manual doest even mention the DVD player. The info it does have is only for the base radio.
