WD73732 TV-picture seems to have a "glow" or light shine especially when viewed at night. For example, faces show a glow on forehead, cheeks, nose. It is getting progressively worse. TheTV is only 4 ears old.

You need to clean the mirror inside the television and maybe even the optics of the light engine. The dust is building up and the light cannot reflect cleanly off of the mirror.

My skyworth 32 has no picture but have sounds. what seems to be the rootcause?"

Press the TV menu button. If no menu appears the problem could be a bad tcon display board or backlight inverter board. Turn off the room light and check TV for backlight glow. If it has a glow then the problem can be a loose tcon connection or bad tcon board. Check connections.
Or it could be,
Possible TV Back-Light Inverter Board Issue:
To see if the back-light has gone out, turn the TV on. Turn the lights off and make the room dark. Shine a flashlight onto the screen at different angles. If you can see some of the picture then the back-light has gone out. (It should glow a slight grey if it’s working) To fix this you need a TV backlight inverter board. You can buy one online for a relatively low price. Usually the board will have a few bad capacitors on it. You could attempt to repair it yourself if you can identify which capacitor has gone bad. A capacitor kit for a TV board is ultra cheap. You are best off buying the backlight inverter board and installing it yourself. A back-light inverter board should be from $10 to $25 dollars depending on your TV model

Last night our Time Warner cable went down. The internet service returned but our 2004 27 inch Zenith TV will not turn on i.e. no picture or sound. The switch seems to activate as a click is heard and...

I think that the unit is going into protective shutdown because it has detected an internal problem. I would suggest that you invest in a detailed repair estimate that will cost about $100-$150 depending upon your location. It might cost even less, especially if you take it in. You could also contact Zenith and see what they might say about this problem first before taking it in.

I have an invicta model number 6391, and I thought it was supposed to glow at night, but it doesn't seem to. Is there anything special I have to do to get it to glow?? Thank you for your time

IF THE WATCH HAS LUMINOUS HANDS AND DIALS THEN THIS IS THE WAY TO ACTIVATE IT TO GLOW.YOU EITHER HAVE TO SHINE A FLASHLIGHT DIRECTLY ON THE WATCH FOR A BOUT A MINUTE OR PUT IT UNDER A BRIGHT LIGHT FOR ABOUT A MINUTE.IT SHOULD THEN GLOW BUT THIS ONLY LAST FOR ABOUT MAYBE AN HOUR.

My Dish DVR 625 does the "program guide download"

Hello! Dan Busa with Dish Networks customer service department. This sounds like it may be a signal issue, I would make sure the cabling is tight and in good condition. You also want to enable your inactivity standby having it disabled will only make this worse. If everything seems ok you may need a technician.

My tv popped last night ,then shut down with an orange glow and a smell of something hot from the rear.

That's not a good sign. There are a number of parts in any TV that can put on quite a show when they fail. In many Zenith models, picture tube failure can cause this when high voltage gets back onto the circuit board. The glow you mentioned, if it was on the screen, is one symptom of such a failure.

Having this repaired is uneconomical. Labor alone may be $60 or more (I'm sure it will be...our shop charged that for a complex repair when I left the service business almost 10 years ago) and then you need parts. The repair bill could easily approach replacement cost, especially if it is the picture tube (and then it would cost more to repair than replace).

Use this as an excuse to treat yourself to a new TV. There's almost always a sale somewhere on small flat-screen models.

I have an Olympus FE-330 The problem I am having is when I take pictures at night, focusing on anything is impossible. The view shows black, until the picture is taken. After the picture has been taken it...

Take a flashlight with you and shine it on what you want to focus. Press the shutter half-way, shut off the flashlight and press the rest of the way.

When watching dvd having showing or fade background

yes it can be down to signal degradation especially via scart lead, make sure you use a decent scart if you buy an expensive one you can tell the difference. Run a cable from your sky digibox direct to your tv to see if the picture improves.
