Rollei dp 6200 - I have problems with trying to charge the battery. It rapidly loses the charge - within a copule of hours one third of the charge is lost and within 24 - 36 hours it is completely falt. This ia all without using the camera. I have changed the memory card as Rollei Service told me that the camera does not support 1GB, but even with 512MB it is the same. This has been going on for a couple of years at least and the original camera was replaced by Rollei within the first two years. I have used Rolleiflex film camera in the past but this one doesnot deserve the Rlooei name!

SOURCE: memory card cannot be used

Follow these steps: 1. If you have a SD card reader, insert the SD card and look for it in Windows Explorer. In this case, mine was labeled F: 2. Right Click on the drive for the Card Reader (IMPORTANT) and choose FORMAT. 3. Format card with default settings. 4. Turn Camera on and go to MENU> FORMAT CARD 5. Before answering the next question, insert SD card into camera. You will hear it beep twice. 6. Choose FORMAT and the card should be formatted for use on the camera. Cheers!

SOURCE: Connection to Rolleiflex SL2000F SLR

I checked out a SL2000F that had good pictures on eBay. I see a standard hot shoe on the side of the camera. That being said, neither a standard shoe connection nor a pc outlet will give you TTL on the Metz. TTL is Transistor to transistor logic (or for camera store people, through the lens) A sensor that reads the light from the actual plane of the shutter is required to allow the Metz to give TTL operation. It will work on the Auto setting, but the Rollei does not have the sensor as described.

SOURCE: How to format sd card for rollei prego da5? I put

The DA5 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. You have to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Battery keeps going flat on gilera runner 125vx 4stroke

Three possible issues: Bad battery won't hold a charge or rapidly loses a charge. Bad charging system/ alternator. Current draw on the battery when turned off. Use a multimeter to check voltage on battery terminals when it is running. You should see at least 13 volts. Fully charge the battery for about 6 hours, unplug it from the charging system, and then check the battery voltage. It should be at least 12.0 volts, actually a bit higher. If your ammeter can handle it, you could test for current when it is turned off. You want the reading to be 0 or very close to zero,

Why so long to charge cordless tools

depending on the saw you bought, (or other tool) some come with what is called a "rapid charger" and some come with a small "trickle" charger. most cordless tool batteries take about 1 to 1 1/2 hour to charge (from empty) using a rapid type, the trickle charger will take up to 8 hours to charge a battery. if you want fast, but the rapid charger, and usuallly when you buy one you can get a free battery with the deal.

Battery drain/charge problems - Sirius Stiletto 100

An ohm meter across the contacts of the switch, with the battery removed, will show you if it has shorted. If you get a full scale defection on the meter, just like touching the test probes together, in the off position you will have a short.

My calculator drains a set of four batteries with every use. Why?

I am not sure what every use means: duration, programs running etc. But that drainage is properly excessive. TI estimates that with 2 hours a day of usage, the batteries should last a school semester.

Possible causes of rapid drainage.
The most common causes of rapid battery drain are mismatched batteries
  1. Batteries of different brands
  2. Batteries of different types (alkaline (1.5V + rechargeable NiMH 1.2V)
  3. Batteries of different charge levels (new batteries with old ones)
  4. Negative charge build up
Another cause of rapid battery drain is the use of third-party programs: Certain of them keep large amounts of data in memory. Some of them are tweaked to bypass the TI power management scheme and disable the TI APD (automatic Power Down ) after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Possible remedies
  1. Remove all batteries (main batteries and backup battery)
  2. Leave them out of calculator for about 15 minutes. (Beware that this will clear the contents of the memory and that data will be lost along with all applications installed). However Applications cam always be reinstalled once calculator returns to its normal state.
  3. The possible benefit of the removal of all batteries is to make the negative charge build up disappear.
If that fails
If the foregoing steps fail to restore the calculator to its normal behavior, you may have to contact TI Customer Assistance by filling out and submitting a customer assistance form.

Motorola CP040 charging time

The rapid rate charger WPLN41__ will typically charge a battery in 90-120 minutes. Your battery should be depleted or nearly depleted when you place it in the charging stand. Be certain your radio is always turned off, when charging an attached battery. The NiMH battery will generally go 12-16 hours on a charge when new. If you work an eight hour shift, you might see if the radio will go 2 days on a charge. Later as the battery ages, you will need to charge it nightly. (Think of putting it in the charger as putting it to bed at night.)

Rapid charging is necessary on NiMH and Li-Ion batteries. They require a "hotter" charger, a fast rate, to completely charge the battery. It will not harm this chemistry of battery. It is safe to leave the battery on the charger overnight, or for a weekend. We would not recommend leaving the battery on the charger longer periods of time, as that will age the battery and reduce its life.

(Sidenote: Frequent rapid charging will however reduce the life of a NiCD battery.)

Sudden Battery drainage - from full charge within 14 hours

turn off bluetooth if its on because bluetooth wastes battery life on any phone.

go to Tools > Settings > Personal > Display > and change the light settings. if its on the highest light setting then that would be a major factor on why your battery is draining quickly.

hold the menu button and check if any applications are still open, close any that you don't need open.

Rollei camera powers up and then shuts down

I would strongly suggest new, I mean NEW batteries, first.
You may be confident with your current batteries, but don't trust any rechargables you have, as they lose their 'power' (ability to supply enough current at the nominated voltage).
Also, don't trust any cheap batteries you have, definately no carbon type batteries.
Go buy some new Alkaline batteries (Energizer or Duracell, or some cheap Panasonic or Varta alkalines) and then we'll go from there.
This is an important step. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but a far far majority of digital camera faults and power related.
Let us know how this works out.

After fully charging my Motorola H700 all night, it loses its charge after an hour or two. When I plug it back in, the green light comes on in seconds. What's up with that?

seems some components inside your phone has shorted out. overnight charging is not recommended for it could cause overheating of the components of your phone which in time develops shorts.shorts , of course consumes rapidly the charge of the battery and it damages the battery also. have your phone diagnosed and fixed. next time if possible, remove the phone from the charger when it fully charged.
