Unlock Nortel t7316e voice mail. when i try to get into my voice mail and after entering my password, th ephone displays "mail box locked contact admin. i am admin and do not how to unlock. I have tried LOG: 1020000 but to no avail...

Change the administrator password by pressing Feature 985 dial 9 even though it is not listed as an option. The display will show Pswd: dial 73738767793. The display will show Reset pswd? Press YES. Now you can log into the voice mail system administrator using Feature 983 and the password 1020000 if you have 3 digit extension numbers. Add or delete the 0 between the 1 & 2 depending if you have 2 digit or 4 digit extension numbers.

The voice mail system needs to be checked by computer to verify the mailbox numbers and their relative extension numbers.

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.

Feature 985 will show you your mailbox extension

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.

Feature 985 will show you the extension of the phone you are using.

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.


So in other words, try 1020000, 10020000, 120000

To reset your voice mail password,on press feature 983 the screen should say log:
enter 1020000 (default password) if you have a 3 digit intercom number, 120000 if you have a 2 digit intercom number
the display should say mbox, AA, and othr above the three soft keys
press the mbox soft key
the screen should say add, del, and chng above the soft keys
press the chng soft key
enter in the mailbox number you wish to reset the password on
press ok
the screen should say reset and next above the soft keys
press the reset soft key
press the Rls key
your password should be reset to 0000

Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password. I hope it helps

Feature 983
enter 1020000 as the password if you have a 3 digit extension number or enter 120000 if you have a 2 digit extension
next press the button under the screen with the heading of m box or mail box
next your options are add delete or change
press change .
next enter mail box number
the next step will be to press the reset button
after re-setting the password press the release button . Now open your mail box and enter the default password 0000

How to Change a Mailbox Password 1. To access the voice mail system press Feature.
2. Press 9 8 3.
3. When you see Log: enter ~ SETNNA (738662) and press OK
4. Pswd: CONFIG (266344)
5. Press "MBOX".
6. Press "CHNG".
7. Enter the mailbox number you wish to reset.
8. Press "Reset".
9. Press "Rls" to exit (orange button to the right of the number buttons).
Default password is "0000".

To reset passwords for Feature 983 do the following

Press Feature 985
Press 9
Enter 73738767793
Press OK

Now go back to Feature 983
Enter 120000 for 2-digit extensions, 1020000 for 3-digit or 10020000 for 4-digit
