I have a compac presario cq60. when i turn on the computer the there is a blinking line in the top left corner. the computer does not come on.

Hmmm,
Ok, well if your machine shows the manufacturer logo (Compaq) and then goes to the blinking light there is usual and issue with either the hard drive (hardware) or the installed operating system (software). If the cursor is blinking before the logo this is usually an bad component (most likely ram or motherboard) causing the machine not to turn on correctly.
All of these issues need professional help, if not under warranty I would bring this to my local shop to be looked at.

Does it beep? if it does, whats the beep pattern...ie long long short, or short short short

if nothing else, something is causing a short...check the usb ports (real common) the contacts break from wear and short out, have your power supply tested.

hi

remove all screws at bottom of notebook, remove the hard disk drive, battery, RAM modules and wireless card.
Now from top remove the plastic covers carefully without breaking or snapping anything. Remove the keyboard and then you will have access to the panel screen

Orange light appears on touchboard and a circle with a line through shows up on screen and touchboard wont work

It means that you locked your mouse pad all you have to do is tap the left corner (where the orange light is) twice. THis unlocks it and locks it

My hp presacio cq60 wireless button won't turn on.. Keep saying lwan is disable.. How do I fix this ,, thanks . Tried turning it on for a while

1. Press wireless button. 2. left click the dialog box in the bottom right corner it will prob say wireless disabled etc. 3. HP wireless assist box should open if so its working and you should click on properties. 4. check all unchecked boxes and press apply or ok etc.5 you should now see in the top right corner of the HP wireless assist box an option to turn on wifi press it. 6. Try the wifi button it should work! If not sorry it did for me.

Have a compaq cq60 turned it on and have a black screen with compac on it and it wont do anything else

It looks like your hard drive has failed, you could try booting with you rescue disk or any bootable disks which can be dowloaded for free

a) Ultimate boot disk for windows (Diagnotic software)

b) Ubuntu (Alternative operating system) Just "try ubuntu" don't install, well not at first.

Both will boot your computer with an operating system, you'll be able to check you HDD, you may also be able to retrieve data.

Without more information i would have to say that your inverter has died. The inverter provides light for your screen.

its a battery indicator and charging indicators. it blinks when the battery low. recharge ,your battery with your charger.
