Refridgerator Not Cooling

We had trouble a few months back with the fridge overfreezing. We unplugged the unit and plugged it back in and that seemed to solve its problem for a while. Now it seems that the freezer is fine...a little frost is appearing but staying cold. But the refrigerator sensor seems to not be working properly. We have it set to 7 and its barely cold. We have thrown out contents due to this issue at this point. We unplugged the unit again...a few times in the last couple of days and you can hear the unit making the differing noise that seems like it may be generating some cold (possibly) and then it shuts off after about 10 seconds after we plugged it back in...and again the fridge doesn't seem to be cooler at all. It seems to be a sensor not reading correctly since the freezer works but that is just a guess. Any ideas? refrigerator not cooling properly, freezer working fine

If top is compleatly warm it is probley the fan motor, lot of failures on them. Replacement one will be a different looking motor. Verify motor is not turning, located in the back of the freezer in the top middle, behind small grill. Will see fan blade pointed up, should run whenever compressor is on.

Fan was working . Removed back cover found ice block covering vent to refrgerator. Turned off freezer and thawed out with hair dryer .

Bosch kann58a50gb/o8 fridge not cooling freezer seems ok

See or hear if the fan inside is working. Im not conversant with your model. Some units have 2 fans , 1 in the freezer and 1 in the fridge. Some only have1 , which will be in the freezer only. If the fan fails, the fridge cannot blow cold air into the food compartment. Generally, when an evaporator fan fails, the fridge doesn't get cold and the freezer overfreezes causing an excess ice buildup in the freezer.

Our refridgerator is not cooling well.

These units only have coils on the freezer side and just blow cold air to the other side through small ducts. These ducts have a tendency to ice up and block the airflow. Do a manual defrost for about two (2) hours and then plug it back in. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Refridgerator stops cooling

Check the compressor relay near the compressor on the back bottom of the fridge. Check voltage it should read about 115, up above that there is a computer sensor, check that also has a fuse on it. One of the two is bad, they are cheap part and you can find them on LG.com

Refridgerator Not Cooling

The coil was frozen on my unit as well. Guinco tech Ron announced that this was a bad system board. Seems to be resolving as of this writing.
