also
click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar
if his does not fix the problem

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or navigate to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer
hope this helps

Hi there. I'm using an H4 recorder with Cubase LE 4 on my PC and am suddenlt having problems using the device to record on my computer. In the Device Set Up dialogue box, whenever I try to switch...

There could be a few potential causes for the issue you're experiencing with your H4 recorder and Cubase LE 4. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the problem:
  1. Check the device driver: Make sure that the ZOOM H4 ASIO driver is properly installed on your computer. You may need to reinstall the driver if it has become corrupted or is not up to date.
  2. Make sure the device is connected: Ensure that the H4 recorder is properly connected to your computer and that the connection is secure.
  3. Restart the computer: Sometimes, simply restarting the computer can resolve issues with drivers or software.
  4. Check the Cubase LE 4 settings: Make sure that the H4 recorder is selected as the input and output device in Cubase LE 4's preferences.
  5. Check for updates: Check for updates for both Cubase LE 4 and the H4 recorder to ensure that you are using the latest version.
  6. Disable other audio devices: If you have other audio devices connected to your computer, try disabling them to see if that resolves the problem.
  7. Run Cubase LE 4 as administrator: Try running Cubase LE 4 as an administrator, by right-clicking on the Cubase icon and selecting "Run as administrator"
  8. Check for conflicts: Make sure that there are no other software running that may be conflicting with the H4 recorder and Cubase LE 4, such as other audio recording software or system services that may be using the audio driver.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be best to contact the manufacturer of the H4 recorder or Cubase LE 4 for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or offer a solution to the problem.

Hello I am trying to install CUBASE LE4 for usewith my Zoom H4n recorder but having diffultity getting the ZOOM H4 ASIO driver as mentioned in the setup guide. thanks pat

Hello Pat, you will probably have to download driver from the internet. I had a similar problem with another synthesizer software program. Even though the HD series Zooms come with cubase cds, they are not always compatible with the pcs. You should be ok after that.

WDM Driver failed to install is the first of four

Make sure you verify that your computer meets the requirements for the Omega. I have one of these and it installed on an XP with no problem.

Maybe you have Vista instead of XP. OFTEN there are incompatibilities of Vista. If you have that or heaven forbod Windows 7, you may either need a different WDM or have to backstep to the XP operating system.

In short, VERIFY the requirements of teh Omega and its software with the OS and system you are trying to install it on.

A last thing to try is to install it while in "SAFE MODE".

Recording on cubase le4 using my tascam us122 mk2

You're probably not recording through your tascam interface. Go to control panel -> sound, and then select the us122 as your default sound device. Close cubase and open it again. Then go to devices -> device setup, and then under your asio drivers, select asio us122. That should solve it

H4 randomly stops recording on cubase le

I may possibly have solved this. I didn't realise that when I log off from Cubase, the ASIO driver returns to the Multimedia ASIO driver, which seems to be the default setting.

Every time I want to record with the Zoom H4 in future I'll need to reconfigure the ASIO driver to the H4 one.

I thought once I'd set the driver, it would remain there every time Cubase booted up. Apparently not.

Cubase REcording/Playback Problems

check first the sample rate maybe its to high like instead of 44k. its in 48 96 or something like that so the buffering isnt catching with the recoding . alogn with your lattency configuration must devices are ok in 512 latency.
and also be shure not to be recording directly to tyour external hard drive
in case of plugin overload issue it would not stop recording suddenly it would slow down first with some crackles and then stop or must shure freeze.
so impretty shure its somethin else.
hope it works

good luck

Lexicon Omega/Cubasele4

I've had this problem and similar ones. Following these steps seems to help:

Starting Cubase before switching on the Omega.

Go to 'Devices' and then 'Device Set-up'. Make sure you're in the 'VST Audio System' part of the menu. Make sure the Omega is selected as the ASIO driver - if not, switch it. Then click on 'Set to Defaults', then 'Apply' and 'OK'.

Or re-setting the Omega sometimes helps too.

It's a pain, though.

Trouble getting started

find the lexicon usb driver in device manager. uninstall it and reboot and let plug and play install a generic usb driver from windows.
I think this might help.
