There's a red padlock showing on the hob and it wont switch on, what does it mean?

This means your Stove Top is locked. Usually, you can hold the Oven Light button for a few seconds and it will unlock the stove top. This varies depending on what model you have.

It means its child locked. you normally have to press 2 together.. the padlock and the on button/
