We have an hp L7580 printer that is not printing right. When we print a picture it leaves white horizontal lines down through the picture. They are about 1-1/2" apart and then fade out as it gets to the bottom of the page. I tried cleaning the printhead and aligning the printer and it is still not printing right. Do you have any ideas?

Hello

To keep the printer such a time time, dried ink cartridges, if it has ink, then put the cartridges into warm water and put them back after dry. otherwise you need to replace cartridges.
Refill is also an option.
Good Luck

SOURCE: HP L7780 is printing with horizontal white lines

Hi

Try to clean it manually by rubbing the print head into a plain paper with rubbing alcohol until ink flows. After that wipe the print head by soft cloth with rubbing alcohol. The run the print nozzle for 2-3 times.

If not, dip thr print head into a hot water and then run the print nozzle for 2-3 times.

The problem it that the print head clogged or had sticky ink into the print head.

I hope it helps you.

I have a HP Office Pro L7580, model #C8187A. I am getting white horizontal lines across my documents. The white lines appear about every two to three inches. The top portion of the letters are missing

The black print head has a few blocked nozzles.
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

My printer is not printing all the horizontal lines

First try to copy and if copy works fine, means the hardware is fine and issue with the driver.
Do right-click on printer icon and select delete.
Once deleted, run the installation disc and click on add a device, follow onscreen instructions to complete the installation. Open printers and faxes window and then do right click on printer icon and select properties, click on print test page.
Check if it prints fine, if yes try to print from other application. I hope it will work.

When you change the print heads for a Hp L7580 what problems does it resolve?

Replacing the print heads fixes any poor print quality you are experiencing. Typically people replace print heads when a certain color (most likely black) is printing very faint or streaky. Over time the nozzles in the print head can get clogged with dried up ink. Enough clogged nozzles will inhibit ink from being deposited on the page in certain areas.

HP 1610 printer

It occurred to me when I was reading your post that photo paper has printing and non-printing sides. If the paper is loaded upside down, it's printing on the non-print side, which would result in what you're seeing. It's just a hunch, but you might want to consider it.

HP.com has a web page that will walk you through the process of checking on this and other potential problems.

Checking image quality problems

Hope this helps. Good luck.
