Unplug the power cables from both your DSL modem and D-Link router.
Verify the Ethernet cable is plugged into both your DSL modem and the D-Link router.
Plug the DSL modem power cable back in and wait for the self-test to finish.
Plug the D-Link router power cable back in and wait for the self-test to finish.
Plug your laptop into the D-Link router using an Ethernet cable.
Can you access the D-Link configuration page now?
Check to see if your computer is getting an IP address from the D-Link router.
Here's how to do that, assuming you're using Windows.
Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard then press the letter R.
In the Run dialog box type 'cmd' (without the apostrophes).
Click OK.
In the command prompt window type 'ipconfig /all' (without the apostrophes).
Press Enter.
Look for the line that reads 'Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection'.
Verify that 'Dhcp Enabled' is set to 'Yes".
What is the IP address?
Try 192.168.1.1 ORTry using a different browser.
