You want the procedure to record 2 VHS tapes on 1 DVD........well, insert a blank DVD into the combo unit's DVD recorder tray and make sure it is initialized and ready to record. (You will have to read your user manual here if the combo does not automatically initialize the blank DVD.) Select your recording speed like SP or LP probably on your remote for the combo unit near the record button. Next make sure your TV is connected to the combo so you can monitor the recording. Insert the 1st tape into the VCR slot and position the tape to the spot you want to start recording. Press RECORD on the DVD side and PLAY on the VCR side. Monitor the recording on the TV and press PAUSE on the DVD side when you are done with the 1st tape. Press STOP, then eject on the VCR side. Next insert the 2nd tape and position the tape to the spot where you want to begin recording. Next press PAUSE on the DVD side and play on the VCR side. When done, press stop on the DVD side and the VCR side.
Playback your DVD and see if you got what you wanted.
You may need to finalize the DVD if it is played somewhere other than your combo unit.
