If you already tried the classic solutions with presing the power button for 20-30sec after you removed the battery and the charger, and no succes then try that:

Possible cause:
1. AC adapter failure.
2. Power jack failure.
3. Motherboard failure.
Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:
1. Since the problem had not gone even with a new power adapter, you could exclude the possibility of ac adapter failure. 2. It's possible that power jack (socket where you plug the AC adapter) is broken. Remove the motherboard and take a closer look at the power jack. In some cases you can fix the jack by resoldering it on the motherboard. In other cases you have to replace the jack with a new one.
Using a multimeter, test if the power goes to the motherboard through the jack.
3. If replacing the AC power adapter and jack on the motherboard doesn't help, most likely you have a bad motherboard. Replace the motherboard.

If you have already changed the charger, and tried running it without the battery, it sounds like you have a Mother Board failure. You should contact Acer and have it replaced.

My acer aspire 5332 powerup problem .the power switch work but thepower suddenly cuts off when trying to bootup and all fan stops working

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.

6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced

Shuts down abruptly after starting

you mention that the power just dies, there is a fault with the Acer aspire 5630,when i opened up the system,i noticed that the dc port at the back of the system was a little loose, the terminals were loose, and it was not charging or powering up,the reason why this is happening on most laptops is because the dc jack that plugs into the dc port on your laptop is heavy, and it tugs at the port,if they made the jacks lighter for the ports,it would not be a problem,i have hard wired a mobile pord and took out the old one and fixed the problem, the problem i find with manufacturers is that they dont design laptops that well, the design them to break down,so people like me are always finding new ways to make them function longer, get some one to have a look at it,it could be that, maybe you have a old batery?

Wireless not working when ac adapter plugged in

It looks like you've changed the settings to turn off the wireless when AC adapter is preset. Try going into Acer Power Management and make sure Wireless Lan is selected on your Power Plan.

Laptop was working fine, but doesn't turn on anymore...

a5e3d98.jpg You might have a Loose DC Power Jack.. Or.. if you're using the same AC Power cord for both laptops that you tested, you apparently have a break(short) in the Power charging cord which is quite common...

To Test the cord..take the battery out and try to boot with just the AC power cord plugged in, If it does'nt power up, try turning and slightly twisting the plug into the port.. LOOK to see if the power light is on or flickers...
