Where can I purchase online LCD cable for SONY VAIO VGN-CS310J?

white screen indicates either:

i. lcd cables gone bad.
ii. the logic board fried.

neither, you should replace the whole lcd.

Bad cord/charger, bad battery? What give you the idea that " i think it has a broken internal power supply" Your saying your laptop will not charge the battery? Does the laptop work? If so the power supply is OK.

Unfortunately your laptop does not have a HDMI out port. However, you can purchase a special cable like this one http://www.amazon.com/VGA-HDMI-Cable-6-feet/dp/B002TUC64W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304695016&sr=8-1 It will connect your monitor port to a HDMI device.

It will be a generic sony "L" type LCD to standard panel connector.

Unseat and reseat the lcd cable on the back of the LCD and to the motherboard.

Then see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't then the lcd is going bad on you or the cable has a break in it somewhere so the cable would have to be replaced if that is the case.

check the inverter, or lcd or lcd cable, or vga chips...

As far as I know I need:
1) to purchase that VGA - S-Video Adapter ?
2) to purchase S-Video Cable itself ?
3) to purchase something like audio AV cables as well ?

Does anybody know where I can buy VGA - S-Video Cable (without Adapters) if it's possible and DO I NEED TO BUY AUDIO CABLE IF I'M GOING TO CONNECT THRU S-VIDEO?

Try to reinstall the driver.
You can get it from www.nvidia.com
If worse comes to worse, you could always reinstall windows.
