Garmin 330 GPS using abroad

I am planning to travel to Israel and Germany in a few days.
Will I be able to use the Garmin 330 GPS there? I hae been using it in the USA.

In order to use the C330 in foreign countries, you need to purchase the maps for those countries and insert the SD card into your unit. You will then have to select the proper maps to use on the unit. These maps are available for purchase at www.garmin.com.

As far as getting around closed roads, your unit will automatically recalculate your route if you are unable to take the suggested route. You can purchase updated maps, but I do not believe this will help you will roads closed for repair.

Unfortunately Anything below the 1xxx series will not support mapping for isreal, so you may want to upgrade to the nuvi 1310 which come pre loaded with the mapping you need.

None off the 255 unit will come pre loaded with european mapping, the unit which does so is 275. So you may hae been mis informed by the persons who sold it to you.

How to use Garmin 205W in Israel in Hebrew
You will need to get the Israel maps. The City Navigator Israel NT is available as a download at www.garmin.com. I do not know if it has Hebrew, but it is Garmin Garage voices compatible, which means you can download different voices from Garmin also. Hebrew may (or may not) be available.

Using Garmin Nuvi while traveling out of the US
Call Garmin at 800-800-1020...they will be able to direct you in this completely. You will have to hook up to your computer with the cable and probably purchase the Germany maps and download them to the unit. Either way, they will be able to help.
