Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry and please don't take this the wrong way but is it possible that there is still a blockage in the siphon tube of the conditioner tray part of the dispenser?

Please follow my (complete, pre-typed) guidance notes,
paying particular attention to the sentences in BOLD ;-0)

If it's not blocked it is possible that the water is not being fed into the conditioner tray. It is possible to check by opening the dispenser a little way when the machine is on (final?) rinse and you should be able to see the water entering the conditioner tray. If it isn't, it's a service call, sorry.
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-

  • Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
Good luck,
John C

We had the same problem , if you remove the draw and fill the conditioner section from the tap until it siphons out that proves that the tray is OK. We then cleaned the area above the conditioner section where the water comes in but that wasn't the whole solution. We then filled the conditioner section with water on top of the conditioner to just below the siphon , this worked ! and the conditioner went into the mc proving that some water came through at the right time. We then poked a flexible piece of copper wire up the water inlet pipe above the conditioner section and on the next wash a lump of black gunge was in the tray !! success at last. It now works OK with normal amount of conditioner in the tray.

Hi, this is exactly why, in my solution (in bold), I tell people to open up the siphon area and clear it!!! John C

Hotpoint aquarius washing machine is not releasing conditioner from drawer

this is an easy one for me as this was happening with my same machine it was under a 5 year guarantee and i got a professional hot point approved repairer out he didn't even take his tool box out as this is an easy repair and a consistent bung up area
remove detergent drawer look up on at top of drawer holder and you see a small hole see picture (if i can upload picture) unbend a paper clip and push up hole removing the gummed up fabric conditioner while your in there spray tunnel with bleach and scrub with hand brush to remove black gunk from tunnel and flush
put draw back and should take fabric conditioner as normal as you have freed pipe were water is injected to flush out fabric conditioner

Fabric softener drawer filling with water

lift out the blue part of the conditioner compartment and you'll see attached a tube at the end.
clean this out completely.
also check the tube in the compartment is clear.
poke a cotton bud down it to clear it.
if you want to check to see if its worked take the drawer out(blue button at back of drawer) put the blue grid back in the dispenser and fill the compartment up under the tap ,hold the drawer level.
as it gets full you should see water start to flow out the back ,turn the tap off and if its worked the compartment will slowly empty.
these were a big problem for hotpoint and concentrated conditioners will block it regularly.
