I have a gm 2086 that was my aunts and does not seem like it was cleaned very much. I tired hot water and mild soap but its really not making much of a dent, is there any type of cleaner I can use on it?

That depends on which part you are cleaning. If you are trying to clean the heating element of the machine, do not attempt to use excessive force to remove the grim. It is normal to have a little brown coating on the heating element in popcorn machines.
However if you really desire, you should look for a stove or grill cleaner. They are usually a white fluid that you leave on, then scrub and remove. After that wash it with soap and water to remove the cleaner itself before using.

Testimonial: "Thanks a bunch did a little test area w/ the cleaner and worked great. Also good to know that some brown in okay. Thanks"

How to clean white shoes properly?

Cleaning white shoes can help maintain their appearance and keep them looking fresh. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to clean white shoes properly:

Materials you'll need:

1. Mild soap or detergent

2. Soft brush or toothbrush

3. White vinegar or baking soda (optional)

4. Water

5. Clean cloth or sponge

6. Old newspapers or paper towels

Steps:

1. Remove Loose Dirt:

Knock your shoes together or use a brush to remove loose dirt and debris. You can also use a soft cloth to wipe away any surface dirt.

2. Remove Laces:

Take off the shoelaces. You can either clean them separately or replace them if they are too dirty or worn.

3. Pre-treat Stains:

If there are stubborn stains, pre-treat them with a mixture of water and a small amount of mild soap or detergent. You can also use a paste made from baking soda and water for tougher stains.

4. Soak Laces:

If you removed the laces, soak them in a mixture of warm water and mild soap. You can also add a bit of baking soda or white vinegar to help with stains. After soaking, scrub them with a brush or toothbrush, rinse, and let them air dry.

5. Wash Shoes:

Mix warm water with a small amount of mild soap or detergent. Use a soft brush or toothbrush to scrub the shoes gently. Pay extra attention to stained or dirty areas. Be careful not to use a brush with stiff bristles, as it may damage the shoe material.

6. Rinse Thoroughly:

Wipe off any soap or detergent with a clean, damp cloth or sponge. Make sure to remove all residue.

7. Dry Properly:

Stuff your shoes with crumpled newspaper or paper towels to help them retain their shape and absorb moisture. Let them air dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can cause the shoes to yellow.

8. Clean Soles:

Clean the soles of your shoes separately. You can use an old toothbrush or a small brush to scrub away dirt and grime. A mixture of water and mild soap or a specialized sole cleaner can be effective.

9. Protect and Maintain:

Consider applying a stain and water repellent spray to protect your white shoes from future stains. Regularly clean your shoes to prevent dirt buildup.

10. Polish (for Leather Shoes):

If your white shoes are made of leather, you can use a white shoe polish to restore their shine. Make sure to follow the instructions on the polish container.

Remember, prevention is key. Try to avoid wearing your white shoes in muddy or extremely dirty conditions, and clean them regularly to keep them looking their best.

How to properly clean and care for your airpot

To clean your airpot you have to first make sure that it is turned off and unplugged. Pour out the water that is still in the airpot if there is some and allow it to cool down. Once it has cooled down you can begin to clean it.

You want to start with a since of the inner lining using hot water. Use a sponge to get loose debris off the lining and rinse again.

Fill the pot up again with hot water and few drops of mild dish soap, let this solution sit for 10-15 minutes. Using your sponge again scrub the inside of the pot then make sure to rinse both the sponge and the inside of the pot to get all the soap out.

If there are any mineral deposits in the pot you should fill it with hot water and about 2 Tbsp of white vinegar. Let it soak for about an hour an then rinse thoroughly you don't want the taste of vinegar in your water.

To clean the spout you pour some of the water and vinegar solution out the spout then rinse with fresh hot water.

Finally to clean the outside use a damp cloth to wipe it down and a dry one to wipe it dry. in the case that you have stains on the outside use a mild dish soap to clean, rinse with clean cloth and then use a dry one to wipe dry.

Front tire on Craftsman zero degree rider will not hold air

air it up and spray it down with mild soap and water mixture (gallon of water with a teaspoon of dish soap mixed in). where it bubbles is your leak. spray whole tire (tread and sidewall), the edge of wheel where tire bead is seated to it and the valve stem. If there is one or 2 leaks on tread, you can plug with automotive tire plugs. More than that and you should buy a tube.

How do you remove stains from bone china?

You have to be really careful when you clean your bone china. I have a teapot and teacup set that's really delicate and stains really easily. I wash the china in warm water with a mild dish detergent. I was told never to use scouring pads or any other abrasives like that. You can actually use nail polish remover on really hard stains but apply it with a cotton bud and make sure you rinse it off really well with soap afterwards.

Top rack not washing. All soap not cleaned out of dispenser

This may sound ridiculous, and I'm no "expert", but are you starting out with really hot water (i.e. running the faucet at the kitchen sink until hot water comes out)? My wife refuses to do this and she encounters the same problems: dirty dishes and leftover soap. *I* make sure that hot water is readily available to the dishwasher (even though it's *supposed* to heat it for you) and never have either issue.

I have a husqvarna 350, seems to have gas problem may be gas tank vent problem losen gas cap will run replase cap will run and then quit.

I would carefully remove gas cap and clean with mild soap and hot water using tooth brush to clean dirt and dust from both sides of cap. If possible blow out with air and mak sure it is thorgouhly dry before you put it back on your saw. If this does'nt help I would try anew cap. Hope this helps. Thanks

Having trouble cleaning the plates after we grill without wrecking the plates...any suggestions? Have tried hot, soapy water, goo gone bbq cleaner, mild scrubbers, and also spraying with PAM before we...

when it's hot lay wet paper towels on them.. no soap remove towels when they stop sizzle. Now just make them wet and sprinkle coarse salt on the grills and scrub with a short brissle wok brush.. the kind with the stiff bambo brissels... remember no soap to clean and no pam when you cook just oil and keep very very clean and it will never get dirty. you may have to keep grill on low untill ready to clean or reheat before cleaning.

Adf jams after 3 or 4 sheets

clean the DF tires with a mild soap/warm water solution. This will generally take care of most issues unless the feed tires are too worn, in which case you will have to replace them.

If I DO NOT want to use the self cleaning feature is there any other safe way, including using soap and water, to clean the oven without ruining it? (I don't want to use the self cleaning feature)

Hi,
  1. Oven door : Wash the door and window with soap and water and rinse with clear water. Use glass cleaner only if sprayed on a cloth first. Do not use abrasive pads, powdered cleaners, or steel wool on glass and enamel, or the surfaces will be scratched.
  2. surface burner : To absorb a spill when it is hot, pour salt on it and wipe it up when the oven has cooled. A mildly abrasive baking soda and water paste can be used in the oven, too.
  3. Racks:Remove oven racks and clean them in warm, soapy water. Stubborn messes can be cleaned by using mild abrasive cleansers or a soap filled scouring pad. Rinse and dry the racks before returning them to the oven.
  4. Metal trim:Metal trim can be cleaned with glass cleaners or mild cleansers, soap and water. Abrasives or cleaners made for oven interiors should not be used.
Thanks
Smith.

What is best for cleaning the screen of a rear projection tv?

A mild detergent soap and hot/warm water.

Use it in moderation.

Mix up some dish washing soap and warm/hot water in a bowl. Use a lint free cloth and dunk it into the water and then wring it out. Wipe the screen down and repeat until clean.

Then use plain water to wipe the screen (on a wringed out cloth) to remove any residue until you have purged and dried the screen.

Tips: Make sure you use a lint free and soft cloth. Make sure you wring out the cloth so that you only have minimal water or soap on it.

DO NOT use alcohol or ammonia based cleaner on the screen.

Expect to spend around 10-15 minutes to properly clean the screen.
