The protective circuits are kicking in and shutting down the LCD section. Usually this is because of a fault in the backlight circuit. This is essentially a flourescent light that provides the backlight for the LCD panel. These are not the easiest circuits to diagnose because either they work or not. I have seen bad caps, leaky diodes and shorted transformers cause this. I am not familiar with Grundig sets enough to point to a specific component. There should be a "power" board that contains the supply for the panel. That module should be swapped. If you have access to an ESR meter, you can check the caps using that. Check the diodes with a meter too, although they may test good out of circuit and fail under load.

Keep us posted on your progress. I hope I gave you a few options.

Over the last couple of days my tv has no picture intermittingly

If the TV is older than 3-5 years or do, it is probably an LCD model with a fluorescent backlight. These backlights have issues with the inverter boards and/or the tubes failing over time. This is why newer flat-panels have gone to LED backlighting. Without the backlight, the picture is actually on the screen, but you aren't able to view it because there is no light to illuminate it. These CAN be repaired, but the cost of new TVs makes it almost most cost-effective to upgrade to an LED TV.

What problem my lcd sound ok but no picture

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

My HyVision LCD TV Picture disappears after a few seconds

It seems that the "backlight" has gone bad. "Backlight" is the device that allows to see the picture in an LCD TV, when they are about to go bad the symptom that you describe is very usual. It depends on the tv manufacturers and model to expect how long the "backlight" is going to last in a tv.You can shop around for a replacement part and try to do it yourself or take it to an especialized technician. Good luck..
