I have a 1845C case skid loader, one of the drive chains has come off and I cannot get it to turn to the master link. Is there an easier way to get to it?

u'd need a proper manual for this in my opinion

pull the plugs and cylinders check for coolant

head gasket blown at water jacket coolant in the cylinders
water wont compress


cant find its repair manual online

have a case skid loader 1845c. when asked to go in reverse after applying pressure to go in reverse the left side does not respond, but after a couple of seconds will go in reverse. does any opne know what the problem could be? Thanks

What year is your case? It will be either the Ignition cylinder or wiring short if an older model.Could also be your starter solenoid.

My 1994 1845c case skid steer, Drive assy won't go forwards or backwards on right side tires.Left tires will operate fine.looked into chain area fluid was up, chains okay but fluid looked milky compared to the left drive assy.Could it be the right drive pump that has gone to heaven? When I bought it 2 years ago I noticed the right side DRIVE TRAIN was not as fast as the left when going forwards too.Could you please give me an idea where to look first? Thanks Frank

There is a drain plug at the back of each chain case, to let old fluid out. Once drained you can refill through the plug on the side between the wheels near the bottom of the case, or remove the 6 bolts that hold the outer bearing on the drive motor, and fill through that larger hole. Each side take 6 liters, and Case recommends their 10w-30 engine oil. In hot climates, 15w-40 engine oil will work.

With all the hyd pressure released, need to unhook the 2 big hoses going to the hyd motor on the chain case on the left side and CAP OFF with fittings. Next start the machine and SLOWLEY move the travel control for the left side a little front and back, you should hear a loud growl from the hydrostat, showing that it is pumping under load. Dont do this long, but enough to test. No noise means the problem is in the hydrostat, possiably bad slipper plate, rotating group or both high pressure relief valves.If you have noise the problem is in the hyd motor. Good luck and be carefull!!!
