We have a Phillips plasma tv and the picture pixelates randomly and freezes for about a second and sound breaks also. We have had everything checked and have been unable to find a solution. The latest internet research has led us to think it may be the coax. Can you help?

A weak signal can also cause this problem. Better have a tech to figure out or try another antenna installation.

TV showing color pixels but no picture and no sound

Well at least you didn't pay for the TV. Your panel is defective. Cheaper to buy a TV than to fix.

The picture freezes and the sound is lost. Until the picture returns and the sound returns, this happens every couple of seconds.

If you actually have the Zenith model TV (B25A24Z), the trouble is not in your set. This model has only an analog tuner, and what it sounds like you are describing is digital pixellation. This is what happens with a digital-to-analog converter box when it gets a weak signal, with rain fade or heavy snow on a satellite dish antenna, or when a digital cable system has some signal problems. The converter equipment locks the last complete frame (or breaks up into blocks and freezes) and the sound is muted.

You'll need to look for the cause of your trouble in whatever is feeding the TV. If you have a digital converter box for off-the-air broadcasts, make sure you have a good antenna and all the connections are tight. If you have satellite TV service or digital cable service, you might need to contact your service provider for help in troubleshooting and fixing the trouble.

Phillips Plasma Tv 50pfp5332d/37 has red pixels but no picture, what is wrong

if you are using a HDMI cable and it is just the picture not the tv controls that is red, the cable might be loose, but if it wont do anything and the tv controls don't show up or anything than that's not the problem

Panasonice TV freezes and stutteers off of cable when in HD

if the picture keeps breaking up and pixelating it is normally a reception issue rather than a problem with the tv.

Phillips 42", LCD TV Cuts out and skips on HD, including sound

if pix is breking up in small squares, freezing then going back to normal, tha sonds like a cable problem. to verify this, use video-1 input for cable box and see if the problem occurs. if it does unhook cable box from tv video-1 input and plug dvd player into that same input. if it never breaks up on dvd, the problem is in cable signal. if still breaks up tv is problem. mch

Check your cables and TV input settings.  Can you get to the on screen menu?  Does anything appear on the screen when the tv is on?

Plasma TV

If you mean the picture froze or formed fuzzy pixelated picture and crackling, this will be due to a poor aerial signal to the tv, but if you mean the screen rolls with pink/white patchwork type squares and shows the picture in the background, all be it fuzzy, then that's the same fault as I am getting and have had to report the fault to LG as I am on my second TV. If it is the problem mentioned in the first sentence, it is happening to our friends in OS and they have been told by specialist aerial fitters, the signal is too weak for the tv.
