How do we replace the seal on the kohler Cimarron toilet class 5? We see the assembly on line but just need new seat kit due to chemical damage. Are the red seals hard to get out?

Aqua piston toilet keeps running....

Kohler customer service has provided a free seal (yellow) to replace the original seal (red)on the bottom of the Aqua Piston. The yellow seal is a big improvement over the red seal, but the toilet tank still leaks. I am ready to return the toilet to Home Depot.

Kohler cimarron broken seat, replacement parts don't work 2x's

No do not use metal bolt and nut as this can crack the toilet. Just go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy 2 plastic bolts , 2 plastic wing nuts, and 2 plastic washers. Install with seat through toilet holes and tighten by hand until tight. I then use pliers to tight just a turn tighter and the seat should be center as you tightened one side, then the other, and back again until tight.

BRand new elongated Cimarron shoots water out of bowl durng flush

Is the fill line in the tank loose? Does it just shoot water into the tank itself? I had this issue until I realized the while fill tube is supposed to be pushed into the black cylinder/small plastic tube in the middle of the stopper assembly. After i pushed the line into the tube, the bowl would always only fill a little bit. Now it fills almost a 3rd of the way up the bowl and doesn't bubble during flushes.

Kohler 1-piece flush valve seal replacement.

That is a tricky one. Tighten the tabs, twist into place, then tighten a bit more. They are a pain in the a$$, but with patience you will get it done. Good luck

Not the float

Had a similar problem with a Wellworth after changing out all the replaceable parts. The new triangle gasket + nut kit was missing the flat anti-friction ring needed to allow the plastic nut to be hand tightened enough against the rubber gasket - without the ring the friction stops the nut turning, and you get a leak because there isn't enough pressure on the gasket. Retrieved the old ring from the trash & put it in - works perfect now! not sure if this is your problem too, but you might want to check the locknut / gasket tightness & seal.
