I have an asko w6021 washing machine that won't run. All it does is when the power on button is pushed, and nothing else, it makes a humming sound almost like it's in the middle of the wash cycle. Also you can hear some gurgling from the drain pipe. This lasts for about half a minute, then nothing. Doesn't matter how many times you press the start button nothing happens. And if you press the power on button off and then on again, it just repeats the above noises. Help!

Open the hatch at the bottom left of the unit. If there is water still is machine, remove the drain hose and drain machine. Open the drain pump and check for foreign objects, make sure that the rotor spins freely and that there is nothing holding it. This will prevent the machine from working properly

My Asko W6021 won't start and the door won't open when buttons are pressed, although the power appears to be on (the red light comes on after power button has been pressed)..

Open the drain hatch at the bottom left of the machine. Open drain pump and check to make sure tat there are no foreign objects in drain pump. Object in the drain pump will prevent the unit from operating properly. If there is water still in the unit, you can use the drain hose to drain the washing machine. If you would like to open the door manually, disconnect power, remove screws holding red plastic handle in place. pull handle.
