Typically, dishwashers do not come equipped with a wire, you need to provide it.
There is an electrical junction box at the bottom of the dishwasher; you'll need to pull the kickplate to find it.
Have a qualified electrician (or in some states, there are provisions for professional handymen to) connect power to the junction box.

What do I need to hook up my new portable dishwasher to my kitchen sink?

Go to a hardware store and get a Dishwasher Hook-up Kit. It will include a flexible hose along with several adapters. You dishwasher should come with a drain hose. You will also need a 3-wire "pigtail" (an extension cord with no receptacle or socket at the end). Your dishwasher whould have come with installation instructions, but seriously, if you've never done that before (or done similar work before), you should call a professional installer or at least and experienced handy-man.

Need instructions for wiring kenmore dishwasher

Hi,
Behind the kick plate you will find a little electrical box... usually on the right front corner under the dishwasher...run a 15 amp. 120v circuit to the box, then just hook the ground to the green screw, the white wire to the white wire and the black to the black...that's all there is too it...

Is the black wire negitive and white wire postive

Hi,
The Black wire is the Hot or positive wire and the White wire is the nuetral or negative wire.
The green wire gets hooked to the frame or any metal part of the dishwasher...usually there is a green screw inside the little box where the wires hook up

Electricity plug

Here is a little video to show exactly what to do. If you have an outlet to plug your dishwasher into just add a power cord to the connecting wires. Otherwise do as it shows in the video and hook the dishwasher up to a power cable coming from the electrical panel.

I am installing a dishwasher. When I went to wire I had only two wires a white and blue comming through the house wiring and a white and black from the dishwasher. Does blue go to black. White to white...

If you have a volt/ohm meter you can check for Power on the Blue wire. Or you can open the face of your fuse box and look to make sure the Blue wire is connected to the fuse. If it is, just hook up your Black from dishwasher to the blue from house. White to White ( Neutral). There is no real way to ground the dishwasher if your house wiring is a 2 wire (old) system. You shouldn't have a shock hazard if the wires are in the junction box for the dishwasher.
