You will not be able to do all you want with out remote on these types of units

you should just call or write to Emerson and get a replacement from them

it will be easier than the headaches you will have trying to get a replacement that will do all the functions the original did because none of them do

good luck

How to program an rca universal remote without codes

If you have a universal remote but dont have the codes or the codes dont work then what you can try is to scan all the frequencys using the remote to manually scan to work for your telly or other equipment your trying to control.

Follow these simple instructions

1. Turn on the device you want the control to control ie the tv or dvd or stereo etc

2. You need to now press and hold the button for the device you want to control and also the power button untill the light on the remote stays on( for this case we are going to program it to control a tv) so press and hold the tv button and power button hold them down untill the light stays on

3. press the play button once every 5 seconds( a bank of 10 codes is being sent every time you press the play button)

4. when it turns the tv off wait press the rewind/reverse button and check it turns the telly back on if it does then you need to hold the stop button untill the light goes off.

Once you have done this check the remote is working properly ie changing channels ets if it dont work properly then follow the instructions again and try again you may need to do this a few times till it gets the right signal

Emotion tv

You will need three things to get this to start working again.
1. the original remote control that came with your TV.
2. the operating manual that original came with your TV.
3. and the ability to read the operating manual and follow the instructions on setting up the tv channels auto scan.

I've lost the remote for my Sony KV-2095R TV and I would like to be able to use the auto-scan or add/remove functions to program the TV channels. These functions were on the remote and as far as I can...

Hi,
There is substitute remote available for KV-2095R in remotes.com
Original remote is no longer anywhere, click above link for price info and online order.
I'm afraid, no other way to manage channels directly in tv menu, remote is necessary to do that.
Thanks.

Cannot access channel 73 on TV2

If you are unable to access the TV menu using the buttons on the TV itself it is possible you can with the TV2 remote if it still controls the volume etc. for this TV. If it doe not you will need to find a code for your set in the manual for the receiver or you can go to the following link to find that info as well.http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/receiver/625.shtml
Assuming you have control of the volume still press the small TV button on the top left of the remote. Now press the menu button and you may be able to access the TV's menu. If so you need to run a channel scan/auto program the TV. You may need to use the buttons on the TV still to maneuver through the menu.
If you are still unable to access the menu you may need to purchase a universal to access the menu.

Replacement remote control for tv

If you need a new remote, you can just buy any universal remote and it will work with your tv. Just enter the code listed on the universal code list that comes with the remote or you can program the code manually usually by pushing the power key then the input you want ie. tv and then push the channel up button and then the power key in between. So power - channel up - power - channel up, etc. This will eventually get you the right code for the tv and it should save into the remote. Hope this helps.

Where are my antenna channels ???

Please try Auto Programming the TV.

Please refer to the page number 37 in the manual to get information about Auto Programming the TV.

Select the Auto Program option under the ANALOG SETUP SETTINGS in the Menu of the TV to Auto Program the TV which should resolve the issue.

No input channels

Universal remote control are normally programmed for basic functions, ie. chennel up down, volume up down, numbers, etc. This is even written in the manual that they do not guarantee that all functionality can be used. Here are your options: 1. Try all the codes that match your TV, there is a slim chance that the other code have the functionality that you need. 2. Buy the original model remote control. 3. If you know of someone that have the same TV, buy a universal remote control with 'learning' function and copy the signal from the original remote control. I have the same problems before. Now I use my Casio wrist remote control to copy the special functions such as A/V so that even if the original remote control is lost, I can still use these functionality
