Guys don't listen to this 6ya staff Tech that said go online they don't know anything, just make sure your inverter is unplugged from any power source and make sure after all disconnected power on just to completely drain the power on capacitors so you won't get an electric shock.
So just use any multimeter and check for blow or not working ones on each MOSFET that has a number of ST IRF640 which this is a common issue on any inverter that goes bad, after you determine the bad ones order some online for like a buck each and replace the old ones and you will get an inverter that is working again.
FRIEND, INTEND TO BUY A XANTREX INVERTER 1200 PLUS, I AM NOT GETTING SHIPPING TO BRAZIL, YOU COULD SELL ME AND SEND BY MAIL TO BRAZIL, I PAY COSTS, SHIPPING TO BRAZIL, OR YOU HELP ME WITH A STORE THAT HAVE TO BRAZIL, MY EMAIL [email protected]
SOURCE: fues blown in xpower inverter 1750 plus
These fuse are often intend to protect voltage inversion. (reverse voltage)
So, if the eight fuse are blown, then maybe the voltage red and black wire were not connected to the correct polarity.
then again, even if these fuse are intend to be use as reverse protection, it may occure that transformer short out, transistor short out and many other short circuit inside the inverter as occure.
So replacing all eight fuse might not restore the unit function, they may even blow again.
Also, reversing polarity that cause the fuse to blow might have damage the transistor stage.
I am still, investigating few other problem with those unit.
I don't have all answer yet.
