On the Aspire One D260-a .To turn on and off the wi-fi next to space bar press the fn button and press f3 and the light for the wi-fi on botton left will come on and do it again to turn off.
The down bottom right side button margaret glanville reffers to is actually a battery release button... not an wireless switch... and i have the same problem...

i think it is down bottom right on the front below the keyboard its a slide switch i believe
slide it to the right

hi thanks for this but i do not have any switches at all. The info booklet says i need to locate the launch manager to enable the wifi but i cant find this any where.

almost all laptops should have a wireless switch some where on or around the keyboard some say it can be just above the keyboard at least one key on or around the keyboard should have a picture on it that looks like a little satalite dish if it is not a slide key then it should be maybe FN F2 or FN=the key that has the picture on it
launch manager should be somewhere in your program list or in accessories

also i believe if you have a look in acer management you may find somewhere to install
from there
