Any antifreeze that has ethelene glycol in will do . For freezing conditions a mix of 55-60% anti freeze will be required . Castrol concentrate is a good one and mix it before pouring in the radiator. So for a 10 litre system mix 6 parts of antifreeze to 4 parts of water. Work out your requirements like that.

For a 250, you can get away with a leaner mix like 40:1 but I still race a 250 2-stroke from time to time for fun and I run 32:1. More oil = less friction, less heat, better sealing, etc...

Any idea what it was jetted to run? the difference between 40:1 and 32:1 is fairly minimal and if the bike is jetted fairly well I doubt you will tell a difference. If the plug is black it is too rich.

The gas/oil mix is at a ratio of 40 parts gasoline to one part oil. Please rate my solution. Thanks!

ok im not a mind reader ,,,so what chain saw is it???? il have a go at this one,,,,,
most chain saws take a 50 to 1 mix if there not very old,,,but thats not all of them,,,ok?
some run on 40 to 1 mix,,,,old chain saws run on 25 or 30 to 1 mix? and very old saws run on 10 to 1 mix,,,,now you see you did not help me not telling me which saw you have,,, did you?
if its a new saw to be safe run it on 40 to 1 oil mix its a two strok so if there is a little smoke then its getrting oil to the bearings so it wont seze up?

Macs run fine with 40:1 ratio. Be sure to use fresh fuel and a modern synthetic saw oil. Mix it in it's own can and be sure to shake thoroughly just before adding to the tank which prevents oil starvation. Don't make more than a gallon at a time unless your business is sawing. Hope this helps!

What is the machine you are asking about? If you use a good quality synthetic 2 stroke oil, if you mix it at 40:1 you will not have any problems, whether it is a 40 or 50 mix.

The engine doesn't use oil,the only oil it gets is from the 2 cycle oil mix in the gas,the transmission uses 85\90 transmission oil such as bel-ray or others. I would NOT reccomend running 10\40 in the trans...

hi over here in australia we have alot of problems with this fuel it goes off very fast and alot off fuel systems rubbers perish with i think its **** could cost u alot more on repairs if u really want to use it use it 50/50 dont use it boats mower small engine where the fuel stays in tanks for long periods thats my veiw
