How do you program a radio shack to the 700mhz trunking chanels

that means that you have a trunking system that has no sites assigned to it. If you do not have a 3rd party PC software, download PSREdit 500 from here ( 30 day free trial) Upload to the program then back to the radio and it will clear the heap error. http://www.psredit.com/psredit500/download.html

The 163 is a trunking scanner, so programming instructions are long and detailed, and they vary for each type of trunking system. Programming instructions are best explained in the factory operating manual. If you don't already have it, you can download/print the manual here:

My Uniden Bearcat BC 147 XLT will not broadcast. I have unplugged and reset it and installed new codes but, still nothing. What can I do?

Do you mean the frequencies to listen to, or how to program it. Radio Shack has the programming directions, but the frequencies are local to you. This is not a digital scanner nor a trunked scanner, in which case, if your local PD/FD switched to a trunked system or digital trunked system you will need a new scanner. You should be able to program in your local weather radio channel, like 162.550 to test the unit though.

The PRO-164 is a trunking scanner with many programming options, and attempting to detail the full programming procedure here wouldn't be practical. Rather, follow this link and you can download/print the full operating manual for your scanner.

the only way I know to program trunking would be manually one freq at a time unless you can find the software and cable to the unit.
