It shut down automatically and won't turn on after that.

The computer/laptop is heated up too much on the same place. You have to wait about 5-10 minutes if it automatically closes, so it it gets cold.

Shuts down not allowing Windows XP to start

If the Computer shuts down automatically, then the issue might usually be due to the overheating issues.
The overheating issues develop, if the Cooling Fan in the Computer is malfunctioning.
The Processors are designed to shut down automatically, if there are any overheating issues.
For such issues, it would be better to get the Unit examined at the Service Center.
Replacing the Cooling Fan should resolve the issue.

Hope this helps.

I was running the program "windon Defender" on it and walked away. When I returned the computer was off and wasn't turn back on.

The Windows Defender Application is the Antivirus Software which will be pre-installed with the Windows Operating System(Windows Vista, Windows 7).
The Computer will always Shut down after any Windows Updates or any Operating System Updates are downloaded and installed.
If you are connected to the Internet and running Windows Defender, the Computer will automatically download the Updates for the Windows Defender Application.
Once the Updates are downloaded and installed, the Computer will prompt for a shut down.
The count down will be for 10 seconds.
After 10 seconds, the Computer will install the downloaded Updates and shut down.
This might be the reason for the Computer to shut down while using the Windows Defender.

If the Computer still shuts down randomly, the issue might be due to overheating.
All the Processors in Notebooks are designed to shut down automatically, if there is any overheating issues.
The overheating issue mainly occurs due to the malfunction of the Cooling fan.
If the Computer shuts down frequently, the issue might be due to the above factors.
It would be better to get the Unit examined at the Service Center.

While trying to change channels, my t.v. displayed ''no signal'' and then shut itself off. Now, when I turn it on, it says no signal and turns itself off after a few seconds.

Turn the television on and as soon as the screen turns on repeatily press the input button or change the input to whatever input you are using from a source device. As long as you change it to anything other than RGB.

Your television is essentially a big computer monitor with multiple inputs and a tuner. When using your computer and shutting it down the monitor will go in a power save mode. You don't need to shut off your monitor due to this power saving mode. When you power up your computer your monitor automatically turn on.

With the VIZIO and the RGB (computer) input the television will act just like a computer monitor. When you have a computer connected it will power down automatically when you shut off your computer. When you turn your computer on the VIZIO will automatically come out of standby mode. This is through RGB only.

This is normal operation for the VIZIO but can see confusing when nothing is connected to the RGB input. If you change your television input to RGB it will sense no signal on the input and will go into standby mode after about 5 - 10 seconds. If you were to send a signal to the television through RGB it would automatically kick on.

PC automatically shuts down

Hi pank, Take a look at the BIOS setups in these machines. Business HPs and Dells have a setting to allow automatic shutdown and startup based on time. Another explanation is timer software; all of the computers I manage run a software timer that shuts down automatically at night. You might also want to talk to your network administrator since there are lots of management tools that allow remote shutdown of computer. It could be something they?re doing on purpose ?.. There are lots of other possibilities but I would check these out first since they?re more likely. Let us know how things go and please don't forget to rate the posting.
