My battery is also doing that in my charger; flashing red and green but when I put it into my buddies charger it stays on the green light and charges normally.

Hi, you answered it your self, the battery is gone, that is what the charger is telling you, it will no longer take or hold a charge. Replace it and you will be back in business.

Why does my payload charger blink green when plugged into 120v power, with or without a battery in the charger. It will not be charge batteries either. Just a steady green blinking.

Replacing battery is not always necessary. Per paslode website, when the charger is flashing back and forth between red and green it is in slow charge mode. It takes 20 minutes to get out of slow charge. After 20 min the light should be solid red until full charge is achieved. If the red green flashing continues after 20 min then there may be a problem with the battery

The battery is too discharged and the only way to charge it is to give it quick with something giving out a higher voltage. The batteries are 6V so use something like a car battery charger (12V), hold the red (positive) to the battery positive (+) connection and the negative to the batteries negative (-). Hold for about 60 seconds then put the battery back into the paslode charger and it should charge correctly. This works for most similar batteries such as those for laptops or drills too. They get too discharged and the charger will not recognize them correctly.

The alternate green red flash is a deeply discharged battery and try two things before you rush off to get a new one. !. Make sure the terminals of the battery and charger are clean. I had a slight spot of corrosion on one terminal. I cleaned it with a finger nail it worked. Put it back on charge if the red green flashing lasts longer than 20 minutes. It's Amazon time!!

To prevent such problems as much as possible, you can regularly clean the charging contacts of the battery and the charger

Red light flashing on charger

A red light indicates the charger is charging the battery, an amber light means it has switched from fast rate charging to trickle to keep the battery topped off, and green would mean the battery is completely charged. But don't be fooled waiting for green, many times the charger will only be on green for a moment before changing to amber and keeping the battery topped off.

Flashing can be a sign of a problem on some chargers.

A rapid flashing red can on some chargers indicate a bad or shorted battery, or a bad battery contact in the charger itself. If in question, try a different battery on the charger or compare with another charger to determine if the blinking is normal.

Best regards.

What does it mean when a household battery charger flashes red then green? The charger is a SYNERGY DIGITAL rapid quick charger. I'm trying to charge new AA Energizer Lithium batteries.

When the charger light is changing from red to green that is a indication that it is charging the battery. When the charge is complete the light will stay green until the battery is removed or the charger is unplugged.

Batteries don't charge. I have a new battery, and neither of the old or new batteries work in the charger. I get flashing lights only, sometimes red, sometimes green, but in the end, the battery isn't...

Dust getting in the charger is a problem, Try blowing it out with a moisture-free dust remover, found at most any store. Green flashing means improper power, due to dust or power from the outlet, try a differant wall outlet. Red flashing means the charger or battery is to hot and must cool down before it will charge. The charger will not charge a battery if the lights are flashing. Solid Red light means it is charging and solid green light means it is charged. Plug the charger in first before putting the battery on the charger. If the charger has been droped or hit the floor the coil inside could have broke loose and dammaged the charger requiring it to be replaced.

Battery won't charge on casio ex-z77 exilim

It's a known Fault with the NP-20 battery don't order one and pay for it, ring or e-mail casio customer service they should send you one out for free!! When you receive the new one don't let it die, make sure and keep it partially charged at all time or the charger won't recognize it. Really casio should recall this battery but for some reason they insist on replacing faulty batteries with more faulty batteries!??!

WON"T WORK

sounds like a dead battery. Plug the origional charger into it and the front led (below the flash) should flash red. If the red led in the back of the camera flashes or stays lit, then you have the wrong charger plugged in. (the camera won't power up if the back red/green led is on when plugged in)
