My best advise to you is get the brand name remote for your opener. I know it sounds like a pain but click brands are not super great because there supposed to work for many different kinda. For the most part you can call your local garage door dealer and pick one up for your opener. They may sell you a lift master brand opener which is find sears/liftmaster/chamberlain are all the same. Should only be about 35 bucks if you pick it up

SOURCE: have chamberlain security plus 950cb lost instructions.

This web address came from the Chamberlain site. I also needed to relearn my remotes due to a newer car that has a built in garage door opener that needed to be set. I also needed to reset my keypad remote, those instructions I was able to get from the same site. Good Luck

SOURCE: cannot program garage door transmitter

Depending on the type of vehicle home remote system you have and the type of garage door opener installed will determine how you program the system in your vehicle.
Below is a web address for the owners manual to your Buick. It will show you step by step how to set your Buick's remote system to open your garage door.
Good luck.

My garage door transmitter is mot working, if I buy a new one, how to set the code?

Wow, Ken. Tons more information is needed to fully answer your question. The make, AGE, model information, for instance.
However, you will be one of a couple of methods.

When you buy the replacement remote, consider buying it from a garage door place, they often can take the old remote and make the new one work.

Way older openers use a bank of switches.
Newer units use electronic handshaking. This is where you push an "invite" button on the unit and then press buttons on the remoteS, to get them to handshake. Directions can sometimes be found on the opener unit.
While you are up there, get the make, model and serial # so that you can get the right remote the first time.

The nice thing about the electronic units is they are SAFER and tons more secure. After the handshake, each time the remote is used, the access code is "rolled" automatically. Digital access prevention is a huge step forward.

Help truck was stolen, I used remote control to "teach" truck how to open door... I reset door opener and relearned the remote..my question is do the remote have a new entry code when I learn, or remote is...

Ounce you reset ALL code of the garage door opener (engine hook up to the ceiling of the garage that open up the door), ounce you press the reset button on the unit, it disable all transmitter (portable or the one install in your vehicle). Your garage door opener has a receiver in it and your all units that you press on to open the door are the transmitter, so by pressing the reset button on the door opener, you erase all codes of all the transmitter that where programmed to open-up that door.

So if you teach your vehicle using a portable unit and you now reprogram your new vehicle with the SAME portable transmitter, then yes who ever has your stolen vehicle can come back with your stolen vehicle to your house and open up your garage door since you re-programmed the door opener using the SAME transmitter same code sent to the unite to active it).

Buy a new transmitter to re-programmed your new vehicle

How to reset garage door opener pad without old acess number

A Stanley garage door keypad is wall-mounted, battery-operated device that allows you to open your home's garage door electronically without having to manually lift the door or use a pull chain. The keypad uses a four-digit access code that you program after the keypad is initially installed. You can change the code, disable the keypad manually by entering a invalid code and reset the keypad if the device is not working properly. After you reset your Stanley garage door keypad, the device is ready to accept a new access code.

Program garage door opener in 2005 rx 330

There are 3 programmable Homelink buttons you can use for different remotes. Just to the right of the buttons there is an indicator light.

Decide which button you want to program. Point the none battery end of your remote 1"-3" away from the Homelink panel and press both the remote and desired Homelink button down and hold them down at the same time. After about 20 seconds, the Homelink indicator light will change from a slow flashing to a rapid flashing. You can then release both buttons,
If the garage door responds to the Homelink, your done! If not, your garage door uses a rolling codes transmitter and must be trained.
Find the training button on your garage door opener's transmitter (usually mounted on the ceiling). Press the training button and within 30 seconds press and release the programmed Homelink button twice. If the garage door opener operates, you're done! If not, press and release the Homelink button a third time and the garage door should respond. If it still does not, you may have a very old garage door opener with a none digital transmitter (like I did). In that case, you either need to buy a new opener or try to replace the transmitter with a modern digital unit (as I did). Advantage: cheaper than a whole new garage door opener.
Disadvantage: The newer openers incorporate safety features that my old opener does not have.
