My WD-52725 mitsubishi 52 in tv is not working i turn it on and the fan starts but then i get a whining sound for about 5 too 10 seconds then it stops the sound for cable is working but no pic. then the tv turnes itslef off after about 2 too 3 min can anyone hlep me???

It is Y sus problem on your Tv. Please replace the y sus or get it repaired at local TV shop.

the computer in your tv is bad, but someone can fix your problem , just need replace capacitors 1000 to 16 v

CK all of your Fans if they are dirty clean them.I know on samsung models that would be the color wheel.

This is a DLP They have issues with the color wheel, the winding sound could be from this color wheel. If it stops spinning it will cause the tv to shut down. DLP is a mechanical display process. If you are handy and understand electronics you could replace this yourself. If not i would let a tech handle it.

normally if you change one lamp you have to change them all

Try to get a firmware update. THis happened to me and I got a firmware update from Mitsubishi and now all ok. Call Mitsubishi

Your TV's color wheel is bad. Call an authorized service dealer to repair this. It's not an easy job.

There are a few reasons that this could be happening first one is maybe the lamp died on you, Afraid there is no way to test this other than replacing the lamp. The second problem may be 5 capacitors on the power supply that hold the 12 volt line low and do not allow the light engine to start properly.
First thing you have to do is listen to how it trys to start, It should sound like this, first when you hit the power switch there may be a click then within five seconds the fans then a few seconds more you may here a sparking noise, if all this is happening then you most likely just have a bad lamp
