Need ethernet driver for hp pavilion 725n also

Need ethernet driver for hp pavilion 725n also cannot connect pc to internet to check for update. must be able to download to flash drive and transfer data. No restore disks. Hard drive crashed. no backup data.

    Have tried to get driver from HP website but ether not available or I'm not geting the right drivers
    I got the usb to work as well as the card reader and modem from drivers for the motherboard but still no ethernet. If I am missing something at the HP website please let me know cause I aint gettin it?????

    You need the driver for the modem.Try to install in the device manager manualy.
    Select networkcard right cilick and select properties select driver and select update driver
    select the modem file you downloaded and press ok.
    you maybe have to restart when you have done that.
    Is your internetconnection protected with a code so it cant gain access ??
    The lan connection has to light diodes one flashes orange and one flashes green
    When it do that it haves connection.
    Try to update the other drivers especialy them for the sound card and the graphics before you
    install the driver for the modem.This could make a conflict so you cant install the driver properly.
    Post me again if you cant get it to work

    the dial up modem is working but I do not have a dial up service
    I have DSL and it uses the Ethernet plug and is connected to a router.
    The Ethernet Plug is intergrated into the motherboard
    So here is what I found for the solution
    I got the info from the motherboard ASUS A7N8X (HP 725n)
    went to the ASUS website and got all the drivers for the intergrated parts including the ethernet plug. Here is the link to the website. http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_...
    I Thank you for your help! While searching on the net, I found many people that have had the same problem as I have. The restore feature is partitioned on the hard drive and if you dont make a back up restore disk and your hard drive crashes or frys out...you loose all the motherboard drivers for your parifials. The HP web site does not offer all drivers for this pc since it is outdated. I hope this might help some one. Rob.

Go to HP.com/support and make sure you have the lastest drivers installed.
If that doesn't fix it, you can always add a cheap PCI ethernet card.

Check the following steps to connect wireless linksys router :

First, you have to connect the router to the ADSL or the cable modem.

Your system has to be set in such a way that it will get its TCP/IP network settings from the router via DHCP.

Second, you need to configure the router to use your Internet service.

Connect the antennas to the Linksys wireless router. Connect an Ethernet cable to the Internet port at the back of the Linksys router and it will establish a connection between your modem and router.

Connect another Ethernet cable between the computer and the router. Then connect the router to an electrical outlet.

The internet stopped connecting. I reset everything I could think of but still not connecting. I took the case apart and noticed a lot of dust and the fan for the power supply has stopped. Not sure what to...

So first if to see if the Ethernet chip driver is missing in device manager.

ahhh, dlink pretty sums up the problem in my opinion. despite my opinion it might be a hardware issue. if you are trying to connect to wireless get the latest wireless driver software from your laptop/desktop company website. for wire connection update the Ethernet port driver/software. good luck!! hope this helped!

I the Ethernet card removed complete from your system or you mean to say your system do not detect your Ethernet card.

If the system do not detect your Ethernet card, then it is more of drivers related issues.

Re-install the drivers of your Ethernet card and try to connect.
This should solve your issue.

If there is no Ethernet card in laptop. Then, get one, install drivers for the same.. and try to connect. It will work.

obtain the driver from cd/dvd that was included as you purchased your desktop and try to check if the driver supports with the operating system you are using now. for example the driver available in your cd/dvd is only for windows xp and your operating system you are using now is windows vista of course driver not installed. try to download from internet the driver that are suite to your unit model and current operating system this can fixed your problem or else downgrade your os tha can support the driver that are available from your cd/dvd.
