How can I remove superfish as my homepage.I open google my homepage but superfish homepage takes over why? I tried to delete superfish homepage but could not do it.

Open GOOGLE CHROME on the upper right hand corner you should find three (3) bars click on the bars and double click on the word SETTINGS locate ON START UP and click the circle labeled OPEN A SPECIFIC PAGE OR SET OF PAGES> click on SET PAGES this will open a dialog box START UP PAGES go to the ADD A NEW PAGE and type in the ENTER URL BOX https://www.google.com/chrome/ ( This will take you directly to GOOGLE CHROME or for example (www.hotmail.com or what ever you want at your home page to be ). If there is anything listed above the URL box you can delete it by putting your mouse on it and clicking the X on the right hand side to remove it. Hope this helps - Take Care

Go to chrome://settings/ in a new tab, take a look at the On Startup, Pick the last options : Open a specific page or set of pages, click set pages. Remove all other page and only add google.com as the main page. Then click ok, and restart the browser

Most of the remove and uninstall directions I found didn't take care of the problem. Most of the removals would only work if you are using Internet Explorer for your browser. I use Google Chrome. My husband finally figured out how to solve the problem. I had uninstalled Genieo under Add/Remove programs but it was still opening as my homepage instead of Google. Click on the Tool in the right-hand corner. Click on Settings. You will see "On Start Up" part way down. Click on "Set Pages." You will see Yahoo Genieo is set as homepage. Move mouse to that so it becomes highlighted. An X will appear to the right. Click on X. Then type the web address for the homepage of your choice in box and click "OK". Genieo will no longer open as your homepage. Hope this helps anyone who was as frustrated as I was. In Internet Explorer, you click on Tools, then click on Internet Options. Under General Tab, delete Genieo and type URL for your homepage, and then click on "Apply" at the bottom and then "OK". Problem solved. 14

Hi. First, open your browser.
I'm guessing by your statement that somehow facebook has turned into your home page, so here is how to fix that.
These instructions are for Firefox, Internet explorer instructions are further down.

Ok, now, leave the first page open for now, and open a new tab.
Immediately click the stop button, so that no page opens.

Next in the address bar type: www.google.com and press enter.
This should give you the google website.
Next, Left click on the little g logo that is at the beginning of the address bar, and hold down the mouse button, and drag it to on top of the browsers home button.
It should pop up a box that either asks, or states, that google is being added as your home page.

This is the way to do it for foxfire.

Now, here is how to change your homepage in internet explorer.

You can do this with or without a browser being open.

With is easier, just from instruction standpoint, but after a couple of steps, it is the same for IE

Open IE browser
click the tools tab
click internet options
OK, this will pop up the internet properties box
Change the address of the homepage from facebook.com to google.com
Delete the facebook entry on the homepage list
click apply
This should take care of the problem, but before you close the internet property box click delete history, and have the system delete your browsing history.
It may make a few webpages load a little slower, but it could be a cookie is what is making facebook always be on top.
Delete your browsing history in firefox as well.

Then reboot, and try opening a browser.
It should work normal for you again.

If it is internet explorer, reset your home page by going to Tools on the IE menu. choose settings and look for home page. Make sure you are on Google.com and choose "Use Current" as hour home page. Delete any other saved pages in the window.
