To transfer files from your computer to your phone's storage card, you need to set the phone's storage card as a USB drive. Connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable, and open the notifications panel. Tap USB connected and then tap Mount, the phone will appear as an external USB drive in your computer.

Hope this help.

Can you provide me a software driver installer for my htc g1? I cannot use my htc g1 to my computer because there's no software driver installer. I wish and i'm sure that you're the one who can help to...

hello, seems like awhile ago but i hope i can help still.. no software is required to manage your sd card on the g1. what you need to do is plug the g1 to the computer using the usb cable. then when that happens you should get a notification on the top of the g1 screen saying usb connected. then you put your finger on the notification tab and drag it down. click on the option in the notification screen. then select to mount to access your g1. then on you computer you should get a screen asking how you want to view files. if that doent work go to my computer and you should see removabe disk and thats your phone.

My g1 wont install on vista?

ok people i have solved the problem with the g1 not recognizing being hooked up to the computer. the usb cords that are sent with the g1 are very crappy. use another usb mini to connect to your computer. theres no installation required just hook it up and select mount and open up my computer and go to removable disk to access you files.

Laptop or phone don't recognize connection

I had the same issue, however what I DID notice up on top was a USB Connected - the USB icon. I pulled that notification up and it asked me to connect. The exacts are:

1. Plug the USB cable into the computer
2. Plug the USB cable into the phone
3. The notification up top corner left will say "USB Connected" with a USB notification icon - BRIEFLY. The text "USB Connected" will quickly disappear, but the icon is still in the left corner.
4. Pull down the notification andyou'll see "USB Connected - Select to copy files to/from your computer" - Select that notification
5. Notification "USB Connected - You have connected your phone to your computer via USB. Select "Mount" if you want to copy files between your computer and your phone's SD Card." - Select the option "Mount".
6. The "Removable Disk" notification should pop up asking you what you want to do. I select "Open folder to view files".

There is a music folder in there, or whatever else you'd like.

Hope that assists.

Downloading photos from G1 phone to laptop

At the top of your phone display you will see a USB icon. Click on the top of the screen and mount the memory card. Your computer will recognize your memory card as a disk drive.

Click on my computer and select the letter for the memory card. Look for the photo folder.
