The random number function always generates a number between zero and one. You can convert this to a random number in any range by a suitable combination of multiplications and additions. For example, if you want a random number between zero and ten, multiply the generated random number by 10. If you want a random number between one and ten, multiply the generated random number by 9 and then add 1.

If you want to simulate the roll of a six-sided die, multiply the generated random number by 6, add 1, and ignore the fractional portion. This will give you a 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 with more-or-less equal probability.

Decimals wont show

Hi,
You need to change the display format.
Press the [MODE] key a certain number of times until the screen displays Fix, Sci, Norm on one line, and 1 2 3 on the next line, with 1 under Fix, 2 under Sci and 3 under Norm.

Press 1 (Fix) followed by a number (1,2,3, etc.) This second number will set the number of decimal digits. In other words, if you press 1 (Fix) 3 all your results will have 3 decimal digits. If you choose 0, your results will not show decimals.

Hope it helps.
Thank you for rating the solution.

Can I simplify radaicals with the Casio FX-300MS?

Hello,
This calculator transforms every radical into a decimal number. It does not perform exact calculations with radicals. For that you would need a Casio FX-115ES or FX-991ES (Natural Display).
Hope it helps.

I need to find the antilog to -6.80 on a casioi fx-300ms calculat

Alot of people have this doubt, so I might as well make it clear.

Press the 10^x button (while pressing SHIFT, of course; it's exactly above the LOG button) followed by the number whose antilog you desire.

Example :
Let's say we need antilog(-6.8),
1. Press SHIFT, followed by LOG (i.e 10^x); this'll display a 10 on the screen;
2. Type in -6.8;
3. Press "=";
4. This'll display 1.584893192x10^-7 as the solution, which is correct!
5. Bye, lol :P
