Code p 0368 refers to a camshaft position sensor B bank 1 -- circuit high===causes wiring short to positive --CMP sensor--ECM
code p 0492 refers to secondary air injection system bank 2---malfunction===causes wiring---AIR solenoid ---hose connections ---mechanical fault
playing with a climate control setting will not affect those codes so I suspect that you are being given the old run around
find yourself an accredited professional service center that has experience on your make of car and get a proper diagnosis and quote or if you have any sort of used car warranty , take it back and don't let them fool you again as you now have the codes facts

Should be in your owners manual or in your glove box. If not the dealer will do this for your free of charge. And many honda for one has a place on their website to retrieve this info. It may require you pulling the radio to get the number on it so that they can retrieve this info. But I called a dealor for someone here last week and got them the code.

SOURCE: 1999 Audi A4 Climate Control Removal/Installation
You have to remove the trim panel around the stereo/climate control to expose the screws that hold it in place. Once you do that, and the screws are removed, it pulls straight out and unplugs. No need to disconnect the battery and no tricks to it once it slides out.
