IR Illuminator I have an model that looks identical to the Piezo. It has an external IR Illuminator that requires batteries. I pulled up the users manual for the piezo and the "N" type battery is not it. What battery do I need? I cannot find what type of ZenitNV I have anywhere.

Brinkmann 810-2511-S Grill. Is there an igniter battery on Brinkman grill model 810-2511-S and if so, where is the battery. Thanks

No it is Piezo Electric. No battery in the manual either. The battery operated ones have a button that you have to press to ignite and the battery a single AA hides under the button. Piezo make a big clunk when you turn the knob, but with a battery, it goes click, click, click.

Having said that, this page mentions a battery, but I think it is a mistake. Phone them up.

Can't get IF to work on my night vision monocular

There are only 6 versions of night vision showing, it sounded like you said f5, but the only one that looks like yours is a FT 300.

This requires a 3V lithium battery, you must make sure it's lithium .

Duracell D/L 1/3 N , radio shack 23265, Eveready 2L-76.

Here are the instructions, '

To use, depress the Energizer button, and release. A gradual fading of the image is typical. Press the Energizer button again to re-power. If your unit includes a self-energizingpower source (i.e., does not require batteries), simply depress and release the top lever one time and repeat as necessary.3.The infrared (IR) illuminator works to enhance the available ambient light in areas of extreme darkness, or brighten the electronic image in very dim ambient light. Utilize as needed by depressing the IR button (next to the Energizer button onmost units). Also, please note that on self-energizing units only, the detachable IR illuminator requires a 3-volt lithium battery.

Let me say that this is not a IF, infra red, Infra-red picks of heat from the environment, so when you look at something say a person you see their body heat, they cost thousands.

This is just a night vision, it does not even say what GEN this is.

There are three GEN's, GEN 1, GEN 2, GEN 3.

GEN 1 is cheap, GEN 3 is expensive. Starlight is the best, but your looking at spending 3000,00 for a good one.

Don't expect this one to be that good.
Here is the manual.

The power light comes on but I have no image.

Hello - nice looking scope and with 100 % rave reviews.
Not much to adjust really - cover off , battery inserted , turn on - adjust brightness. IR illuminator on'off.
I've just read through page 5 on user manual - at least they have a 2 yr warrantee and some phone numbers to get support.
Here is user manual / guide + trouble shooting tips. http://www.nightvisiongear.com/documents/Aries390PaladinNightVisionRifleScope.pdf
A simple test is looking at a distant street light - just incase the 'amplifier' is very sensitive. (that causes BLACK spots) .
If the amp is damaged , they would have a test -- Ray
