Hi, my Phillips was hooked up and working fine directly to the DISH receiver using the HDMI 1. I moved and had to put the DISH receiver in another room and ran a coax cable to where the TV is now using the ANT in spot. I select TV as the source and choose channel 60 and no signal. I hooked up another TV and it works OK. Any ideas?

murphypat321, the ANT IN spot on a TV is for like an actual TV antenna. To use a Coax cable on a TV you would have to run it to a UHF/VHF/CATV IN.

What outputs are available on your TV, and the other one you can hookup that works? Have you tried using component/composite cables in place of coax and using an input?

Sorry, I left something out of the previous post. If ANT IN is the only spot on the TV, try changing the modulator setup to 73, and the TV channel to 73 instead of 60.

Hey, I'm Seth. I work as a sub contractor for dish network. I am picking up that your problems are on TV 2? If so, you will need to go into the menu on the TV itself and look for, "channel scan" or "auto memory". Run a scan. If there are no channels found go back to the "channel scan" screen. You will see an option saying, "air" or "cable". Switch it to the opposite of whatever it was previously on and run another switch. It should be found. I hope this wasn't too confusing, good luck.

Hey murphypat321,

Sounds like the TV may need to be on ch 73 cable rather than 60 air. Try switching the TV to 73, if it goes to 69 then put back on 60, if goes to 73 good. Once you have that set go to your TV1 and bring up the menu. Go to System Setup (6) -> Installation (1) -> Modulator Setup (5) and change the TV2 setup to either cable if on 73 or air if on 60 and the picture should come in if everything's hooked up.

Hope that helped! You can email me at [email protected] if the problem persists.

I have dish network hd but hdmi does not work so i hooked it up direct whats the best one to put it on 1080pi or 480.480pi,720 or what

Hi my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network and I see youhave DISH Network HD the hdmi does not work. Depending on what the TV is set to;480, 480i, 720, 1080i will depend on what you have your receiver set to. Afteryou check your TV settings press the buttons of Menu-6-8 and it will take youto HDTV Setup. Make sure your TV settings match your DISH Network HD settings;if you have anymore questions please e-mail me at [email protected].

If you are using a powerstrip may not be supplying enough power to run the LG HDTV and your HD receiver. If you are using a powerstrip make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall. Otherwise this may be a grounding issue please reply if this doesn't work and we can look into some other possibilities.

Snow on tv cant get bk to pic

Hi nelle_king my name is MikeHouston of DISH Network. There are a couple things we can do to get thatpicture back. What you will need to do is make sure the TV is on channel 3 orthe right input, and if the picture is still snowy and we are on the correctchannel/input you will need to reset the receiver by unplugging it for 10seconds and plugging it back in. After you plug it back in it will power up byitself and you should see the DISH Network screen. I will send the steps tohelp with the setup. b> # Sequentially follow the below steps until problem is resolved or until instructed to skip to another step 1 Verify HDMI Connections Verify HDMI cables are connected from the DISH receiver HDMI Out to the HDMI In of the Revue, and the HDMI Out of the Revue to the HDMI In of the TV. 2 Reset Revue and DISH Receiver Unplug both the Revue and DISH receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in. It may take up to 5 minutes for the reset process to be completed. 3 Check Receiver-to-TV Configuration Check that the wiring between your DISH receiver and your TV is configured properly using http://www.dish.com/wiring. 4 Secure Receiver-to-TV Connections Check that the connections between your DISH receiver, your TV, and any component(s) (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) in between are secure. 5 Bypass Revue Bypass the Revue and directly connect the DISH receiver to the TV using an HDMI cable.

Receiver taking a long time to transmit reciever

I assume that the HDMI works fine if you go directly from the dish receiver to the TV with either HDMI cable. And try it with a different source (DVD or x-box) in the same input port.

Take it to a Radio Shack there service centers can repair Onkyo in warranty. Most Onkyo receivers carry a two year warranty.

Hdmi or optical

There are no noticable differences between HDMI and optical except price. Although optical is less prone to EFM interference, HDMI can carry a wider bandwidth, depending on quality, but cost a lot especially long runs (10 ft or more). Also optical cables are not prone to connector tarnish which occurs even with gold pins of HDMI
