You can do whats called a Parts Life Reset Function.
This function is used by service
specialists only when changing the periodic replacements parts to clear
the life counter. To operate this function, press the "Go" and "+"
switches together until the menu "RESET PARTS LIFE" appears on the LCD
display. Select the required item "part name", using the "+/-" switches,
then press the "Set" switch.
check you fuser kit if possible clean it with soft cloth it might be dirt on the fuser drum. and at the fuser drum you can see a small button with arrow you can slide this arrow to clean the fuser. if you clean the fuser and the printer still printing line on documents buy new fuser kit for your brother printer.
HelloTo reset fuser on your HL-5270DN you have to press "Go" and "+" at exactly the same time. You will be given an extended reset menu. Then you will go for fuser reset. Plz sure the fuser must be OK/replaced before applying this action Good luck Do rate the solution if got help
There are a few more parts that are needed for a Laser printer to work than a inkjet. the fuser is a component that literally superheats the ink and "fuses" it with the paper once the powder in has been laid down. It needs to be replaced when it cant properly fuse anymore; I reccomend you contact their tech support to properly resolve this issue
Its probably the pickup roller and/or separator pads. Another possibility is a tear in the fuser heat cover. IF you can manually rotate the fuser(when its cool) you can see if the fuser roller has any problems. Last thing is make sure its looking at the right paper size. Maybe reset all software settings and start over? If its looking for one size and seeing another, it may cry jam.
To remove the fuser - remove the tray at the bottom and the back tray (4 screws, 2 either side) lift out the phone line box on the right (looking from the back - 2 screws) and swing it out of the way (careful as cable isn't too long) 2 screws either side of the fuser (long black object at the bottom) unplug the halogen lamp (white plug on left) and small 5 wire plug on right, and lift out fuser unit.
