Sashrake, To answer your question simply "Yes you can". Social media is a new hub for marketing and exposure for many small to large business. The most important thing about using facebook, is to not only give your business an online exposure, but to look at ways to make it productive and make it work for you.

This can be done in several ways, for instance facebook marketing, google blogger, and wordpress. To give you a quick sample of what each of these can do help your business I've posted a quick write up on each and a link to there associated pages.

Facebook Advertising: Allows you to create a marketing and advertising banner and links, so when of the 500 million users. Facebook uses there marketing algorithms to post your ad to potential customers. In turn it helps drive new and existing clients to your business. It also allows you to control how much you want to spend in advertising, so you can control the overall cost. (Click Here for Website)

Google Blogger w/ AdSense: Google blogger is like Facebook, where you can create a blog site that allows you to post information about your company, but also allows you to have followers to update on events and specials just like Facebook. The benefit you have is that you can get AdSense, which allows you create Ad's about your company and linked with similar blog sites, but also it gives you the reverse option of creating AD's from other vendors on your blog in turn generating revenue through your clients and followers every time they click an AD. The biggest impact Google Blogger with AdSense offers is the backing and support of Google itself. So you have very detailed and up to date data on how your AD's n blog site is doing. WordPress: Is the largest and most popular blogging website which offers support for mobile platforms. WordPress gives you the control of having a great business presence on the web with little overhead cost. WordPress works just like Google Blogger with AdSense, but you have more control to personalize your page in a professional manner. Along with the capabilities of having your page listed just like a .com, for a low fee. This is a powerful tool, and used properly can give you a solid web exposure for your business. My face book account has been unavailable since saturday 13th december 2014 - i am unable to contact facebook as whatever i try it comes up 'temporarily unavailable' can you help please as this is my...

I googled that message online and see that the message comes up when they have a system problem "for just a few" http://marketingland.com/facebook-suffers-outage-account-temporarily-unavailable-85417
I would probably do some spyware scans (malwarebytes, super antispyware), remove all my cookies and temp files for the browser, perhaps try a different browser or a friend's computer etc. If that happens on any computer, it might just be that facebook "outage" that the articale mentions.

Want to set up a business presence on Facebook but don’t want to have a personal presence? No problem! A little known feature of Facebook is the ability to create business accounts. However if you already have a personal account, keep in mind that you cannot create a separate business account. However if you would like to avoid setting up a personal account and would like to keep things professional, you can take a few steps to get things configured.

From the business account you will be able to manage Facebook advertising campaigns as well as Facebook Pages. In order to get your business account set up, all you’ll need to do is create a Facebook Ad or create a Facebook Page. After you’ve created the page or advertisement, Facebook will ask you to enter your login information or the option to select “I do not have a Facebook account”. At that point all you need to do is enter your business email address and date of birth. That’s it! Now you have a business account on Facebook. One thing that you should keep in mind is that if you have a personal account and go through this process, there is a very good chance Facebook will shut down both accounts. In other words: don’t create multiple accounts. I have received multiple emails from people that don’t want to set up personal accounts though so for those individuals that have not explored Facebook, you can proceed to set up a business account.
While I think advertising on Facebook or creating a page doesn’t make much sense without thoroughly understanding how Facebook works, the company has at least provided the option for those that don’t want a personal account.
