I have a desa DD100S wireless door chime but for some unknown reason the bell push is not working, I have tried replacing the battery but still unable to ring chime. The actual base unit is fine and when I press the melody button it sounds out loud and clear. Please is it possible to buy the bell push? Thank you Sandra Kirby

    Hi,
I had the same issue with my Siemens W725TC. Basically, you need to remove the batteries from both the door chime and the push button unit. Leave for 10 seconds and then reinsert the battery into the push button and then the batteries into the door chime unit. The door chime unit will then synch itself back with the push button unit. Worked for me, so hopefully it does the trick for you. Also, if you find your door bell starts ringing for no reason this is because it has synchronised with another door chime unit (ours linked to the neighbours across the road so we always knew when they had a visitor - lol). Repeat this process and it should sort out the problem.

Sandra, the contacts in bell push may need cleaning, as well as some minor readjustment of the contacts. Insects love to get into the bell push and can clogged it up. If you find that this doesn't solve the problem, Contact the Zenith Company 800-858-8501 to purchase a replacement.

TR-6505-RX by DESA SPECIALTY PRODUCTS. The door bell is not working. We put in new batteries in the button and also the chime box. How do we get the door bell to work?

Did you read the manual?

You need to pair the bell push and the chime unit with the same DIP switch settings. They do this in case you and your neighbours have the same unit. Someone press the doorbell and you all come to your doors. :>D

Why does my Desa doorbell model WA220-UK not work , fresh batteries in both button and chime unit?

It is a guess, but wireless doorbells have adjustable frequencies so that your neighbors door bell button doesn't ring yours as well. My guess is that the bell push and the chime unit are mis-matched. Do you have a manual? I can't find one.

I need a new push button for an sl6195 rx

Heath-Zenith (I beleive they bought DESA) makes a battery remote push button bell that says its compatible with all Heath Zenith chimes. I bought one at Home Depot and it worked for my SL-6195-RX. (an on line doorbell seller and the Home Depot assoc all said it wouldn't work.)
UPC is 16963961975.
Item also shows a code "11G43" on a sticker on the back of the package.

Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).

My doorbell is no longer ringing. Should a battery be changed? Where? I don't know what to do.

In the door bell push button case there is a compartment on the back. slide the cover off to reveal the batteries for changing.

'Doorman' chimes keep chiming, without bell being pushed

I had the same problem - turned out to be a cordless phone nearby. If you have one, try moving the bell away from the phone or vice-versa. Another possibility is a neighbour with the same code. There are some jumpers you can move around to change this.
