On the mixxer, use the "mix" "L" and "R" outputs. use 1/4 inch instrument cables, and connect the mox L and R to the amp's "channel 1" and "channel 2 inputs". always turn the mixing board on first, and the amp second- when turning off turn off the amp first, and turn off the mixer second. start with the mixer levels at the lowest, with the amp levels about 1/2 to 3/4 up. slowly raise the mixer channels first and then the mixer main volume until you have an adequate volume.

I would probably get a pair of 1/4" TRS to XLR connectors like these

Unless the amp can accept 1/4 TRS.
and connect to the MIX output on the mixer

How to connect a samson s mix 5 channel mixer

It depends on what you are trying to connect. The XLR would be a professional type microphone, it does not have phantom so a condenser mic will not work. The other inputs should match your stereo equipment. The output goes to your amp.
The Samson S-Mix is a miniature, rugged 5-channel audio mixer with 4-line inputs and a single XLR microphone input. The line inputs are comprised of two 1/4" phone and stereo RCA phono connections. Each input channel has a rotary volume control and the outputs include stereo RCA phono connectors and 1/4" TRS phone headphone output. The S-Mix is powered with an 18 volt AC adapter.

Having problems connecting speakers via a power amp in to my behringer x2222 usb mixing desk - im not getting the ins and outs correct :(

I had a like problem with a crown amp. I found it was in the amp settings , nothing to do with the mixer set up. We had it a mono setting. Take a look at your amp set up book, i'll almost bet thats where the problem is

Power mixer to a power amp.

You have two aux sends on that mixer so quite easy to use one of those to feed the external power amp. You could have one set of spkrs connected to that amp and another connected to the powered mixer. This would give you full independent control over each set.

Speaker humms only. what causes that?

Incorrect connections or volume settings.

• In powering up, mixer first then amp

• In turning off , amp first then mixer

If hum still persist, without the mixer connected

then speaker amp may need servicing.

How to fix a Samson XP40iw Speaker PA System

Have you checked the cables? If that doesn't fix it, you probably have a loose connection inside between the "mixer" unit and "amp" unit

Getting distorted sound when connecting from mac pc headphone jack to 1/4" line in input

You are connecting a NOISY unbalnced line to a balanced input. Buy a DI box and then use an XLR to XLR to the mixer inout and run the MAC into the DI with "ground lifted". You will need to make a resistive mixer between the headphone jack and the DI as well. The headphone jack is STEREO. You COULD try a STEREO 1/8 inch splitter to 1/4 inch left and right cable... you MIGHT get away with that. Right now the left and right amps in the MAC are fighting eachother.

How do i connect dis mixer to another mixer?

First of all a link to the manual:http://s3.amazonaws.com/samsontech/related_docs/XM910_ownman_v1.pdf Have a look at page 14, 9. Go out of MixOut ( line level ) into any line level auxiliary inputs left and right on the other mixer. You didn't say what the other mixer is so this is the easiest. What you will have is a sub mix of everything plugged into the Samson controllable by the controls for the line in you are using on your second mixer. There are other options which you should be able to discover by reading your manual for the Samson and the manual for the other mixer.

Mono

Hello sir/maam, most (almost all) mic are mono, and the microphone mixer circuit splits the signal to two channel left and right, and fed to two amplifiers, then to two speakers. IF by any chance only mono, we need to trace the path where the mic signal is fed, and where the signal dissappeared, check also your balance control.

If your mic mixer circuit is designed for one channel, contact your local tech to check out or make connection to both channel.
