My son came across a WINNER Rolex24 AD DAYTONA 1992. It was given to him for a debt. Is it real or fake. All of that is engraved on the back.

Hate to tell you this.. but it's a replica.

Daytona's nor to 99.9% of Rolex watches do not have engraving on the back of any type.. just a few rare exceptions and the Daytona is not one of them.

A realy Daytona in good shape would be worth many thousands of dollars.. enjoy the replica.. there are some nice fakes out there and as long as you don't misrepresent it as a real one in some type of transaction for services or money.. no harm done

Good luck

How do i know its fake or real .wener rolex24 ad

Unless you're paying over 10K it's very likely fake. The second hand should sweep, not tick. There's a lot of sites dedicated to showing you real vs fake. Whenever you're investing in a nice timepiece, it's always good to meet the seller at your trusted jeweller and have him/her inspect it.

There's no way an engraved winner rolex 24 at daytona 1992 could be real? why would counterfieters bother putting such an obvious indentifier of a fake on their fakes?

Hi,
There has been a Daytona with similar to this on the back that was presented in 1992 ..but....... If your watch has AD DAYTONA on the back it is certainly a fake and sadly worthless.

Hi, I have a Daytona 24 number stainless steel watch: Back: engraved number 045 on "pin holder;" has WINNER then next line ROLEX, then next to word "ROLEX" the race flag, then under...

Howdy..

Not sure what your question is.. but I assume you wish to know if you have the real thing or not.
The watch you describe is a reproduction and not the genuine article.

I am sure there are other indicators.. however the Daytona and 99.9999% of all Rolex watches do not have engraving on the back cover.
Best of luck

We are trying to figure out if this rolex we bought was an orginal, its an ad daytona 1992

There are a few things to check..

Most reproductions/fake Daytonas have a second hand that moves.. if your second/sweep hand is moving like a standard second hand.. you have a fake.

The real Daytona's second hand remains at the 12 position as it is part of the stopwatch function and only moves when activated.

A few other things you can check.. if the three mini dials refer to months or days it's a fake.

If anything is engraved on the back of this watch.. it's a fake

Rolex engraves a serial number between the lugs.. some fakes duplicate this..but generally not very well.

Lastly if you have none of these issues.. the final way to be sure is to have the back removed and have the movement verified.

Best of luck
