I got a two day gold pass and a xbox 360 i also got tmobile broad band internet on my pc so how do i get started with xbox live without an adapter or do i need an adapter

The xbox live gold membership is paid for when you buy it. It never runs out until you have used all of the time you bought. Like say you bought a 12 month subscription it will last you the whole year until the day you bought the last one and activated it. Only time you use money is when you want to buy something from xbox live. All you need is the internet wifi or direct cable works. You can actually use your xbox live account on any xbox. Say if his friend has an xbox and has xbox live he can then use his account on his friends xbox to play online with his friend. You dont have to worry though every time he goes to an xbox he has to recover his xbox live account info so no one else can use it while he is using it. There is also a few new updates to keep his account safe as well when he does want to do something like that. also you can go into family settings and make it so he cant buy anything with out a pass code even put a timer on it with a pass code to limit time of play. So inclosing no you dont have to buy GB it just uses your internet connection and it does cover the cost of play for as long as you bought the subscription. Hope this helps :)

You have to sign into a account with Xbox Live, then connect to the internet, and basicly start the game.

If you don't have Xbox Live, just sign into your gamer profile, and press one of those advertisements for Xbox Live on the dashboard, and follow the instructions.

Note: For Xbox Live Gold it is necessary that you either have bought a Xbox Live Gold card, which contains a card with a code on it.

Note: If you haven't got Xbox Live, and are signing up for it, system updates for the Xbox may accour.

you need to set up an xbox live account. you can either go through ur computer or through ur xbox. then u need to pay for either the gold (1 year) or silver (3 months) membership. and you also need internet access. if ur xbox 360 does not have a built in wifi adapter, you need to connect an ethernet cable to your router in order to get connected.

You will need some kind of internet connection so you will use either an Ethernet cord or a Wifi adapter. After you connect to the internet through your Xbox 360 you will have a 1 month free Xbox live trial. When the trial ends you will either use an Xbox live silver subscription which doesn't allow you to play games on-line, use Netflix, etc. Otherwise you would need to buy an Xbox live gold pass which is a better deal as you purchase a longer subscription. The easiest way to connect to Xbox Live without using your pc is to buy a
wireless network adapter for your Xbox.

You would then go into the system settings on the Xbox and configure the settings for your wireless network.

In order for you to be able to log into Xbox Live, you will need to have DSL or Broad Band internet connect in your home. Once you have that, you will be able to connect the Xbox 360 directly to the Modem that the internet provider gives you. If you wish to able to connect both the Xbox and your notebook to the modem you will then need a router or a wireless router. So, if you do not have DSL or Broad Band Internet service in your home, you will not be able to log into Xbox Live.

Hi you will need to either do the following:

1. extend the dhcp leasing function within the router by increasing the time for the lease, usually this is in minutes
2. manually assign the ip address so ud ont have this problem ever again
3. renew the ip address via xbox 360
4. it could just mean the xbox live server is temp down.
