Hi, I have an Infinity USB foot pedal that use to work on my computer but I had my computer rebuilt some months ago and evidently the driver for my foot pedal was removed. How can I find a driver and install it for my Infinity foot pedal..three-way controls, rewind, play, fast-forward. Thanks!

Hi Annie, It all has to do with your foot pedal. CHECK to make sure it's plugged into your machine properly.
IF it jiggles around in the socket, wrap a bit of tape around the rubber/plastic part that goes into the socket. I had to do that with one of my machines about a month after I got it...that was 10 years ago, still works great.
If these things don't work, then you may need a new foot pedal, or a new socket...or both.
The FS 85 is obsolete. I am not sure if it can be adapted to usb but there is a USB version of that foot pedal, the Sony FS-85USB Foot Control.
Details are sketchy but the highest compatibility is Windows XP and driver software isn't mentioned by I would be surprised if it would function without an installed driver...
With your foot pedal plugged in, go to your device manager and remove it. Then scan your computer for hardware changes. It will reinstall the foot pedal and required drivers.
This SHOULD solve your problem.
Good luck.

Hi, Connect the foot pedal to your personal computer. Insert the foot
pedal's USB cable into an available USB port on your computer. Insert
the foot pedal's installation CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive, and
follow the ensuing setup wizard's instructions. The installation CD will
configure your foot pedal to the computer, and install a control
application from which you may set shortcuts and commands.

I looked a the Infinity IN-USB-1 foot pedal, thanks. I would go out and buy a second foot pedal for home then you can remote your work pc by using the foot pedal from home. Make sure you install the drivers for the foot pedal at your home pc. If this doesnt work, you can always take the pedal back to the store. I figure that If you took away your mouse from your home pc, you could not move your mouse on the work pc. It maybe the same with the pedal. Let me know if it works.
I had the exact same problem. Per Olympus you have to buy the RS 27 foot pedal. It IS compatible with Vista 64bit. RS 25 which is what I have IS NOT compatible with Vista 64bit.
Cheapest I found online is $43+ shipping for RS 27 foot pedal.
There is a free upgrade to DSS Player 7 on Olympus website that you will have to do for it to work with RS 27 foot pedal.
I would try using compressed air to blow it out. (Just go around the edges of of the moving parts. I just did that to mine after the rewind on the pedal stopped working, and now it's fine. I did see some stuff come out of the pedal.
Don't forget, it's on the floor, and it only takes a small piece of dirt to make the micro switches stop working.
check the helper spring on the clutch pedal. You'll have to get down in the driver's footwell and using a flashlight look at the mechanism while you push the pedal down (and pull up). If the spring isn't missing or broken and everything looks okay, then change the clutch master cylinder. The piston in the cylinder is probably binding due to corrosion in the bore. I have an 1986 and had the same problem. Changing the clutch master cylinder fixed it.
