A Bluetooth headset has to be registered, or "paired", with your PS3 before it can be used.

  • Make sure your Bluetooth headset is fully charged before you begin.
  • Check your headset instructions for entering "pairing mode". Activate your headsets' "pairing mode" so it can be recognized by the PS3.
  • On the Cross Media Bar (or XMB) of the PS3 go to the "Settings" tab, then down into "Accessory Settings", then down into "Manage Bluetooth Devices".
  • With your headset in pairing mode, follow the onscreen instructions and let the PS3 scan for your headset. When your headset is found, follow the prompts and enter a pass key (if necessary- the default is usually 0000 for all brands). The pairing should now be complete.

How to turn Bluetooth on and off on a BlackBerry Tour

The BlackBerry Tour comes with Bluetooth capability, but in order to connect to a Bluetooth device, you have to enable the Bluetooth functionality. When you're not using a Bluetooth connection, disable Bluetooth to avoid other devices from connecting to your BlackBerry.

- To turn Bluetooth on:

From the main home screen, press the BlackBerry button (to the left of the trackball) to go to your Home folder. Scroll down until you see the antenna icon for Manage Connections and click on it. A pop up list will appear; find Bluetooth on the list and click it to put a check in the box next to it. "On" will appear next to Bluetooth, and the Bluetooth icon will be displayed in the upper right corner of the screen. Your BlackBerry is now in Bluetooth mode, where it can connect and pair with other Bluetooth-capable devices.

Bluetooth can also be turned on from the Options folder, under the Home folder. Select Bluetooth from the list and when the screen comes up saying "Bluetooth: Disabled," press the BlackBerry button and then select Enable Bluetooth. If you've previously paired your Tour with other Bluetooth devices, the list of those devices will appear.

- To turn Bluetooth off:

From the home screen, press the BlackBerry button. Scroll down to Manage Connections and select it. In the list that appears, click Bluetooth to uncheck it and disable Bluetooth functionality.

You can also turn Bluetooth off by clicking Options in the Home folder, selecting Bluetooth from the list of options, then pressing the BlackBerry button and choosing Disable Bluetooth.
