This all comes down to file size of the picture and the quality you are printing in. Check your printer settings and see if you are printing in least, normal or best quality. Also look at the actual size in pixels of the picture you are printing.
I Just right click on picture select save as. I now have a copy in my pictures. right click on picture select print, on the drop down window select paper size A 4 is 8X11 if it asks print to paper size click ok.
Are you using a large image size, try smaller size file..Its a data processing problem. clear the memory of the printer.If persists it could be a lose data cable in the printer if the printer has had a knock
the printer needs a proper servicing and dust cleaning done.as there is a sensor in the printer which detects whether there is paper ,or no paper in the paper tray ,that sensor is moved from its orignal position so this problem is coming.but servicing and cleaning will help.

The data size of the image is large and it takes longer to process it
for printing. Printing will start as soon as the data processing
finishes.
If the paper error indicator flashes on the LCD:
The paper is jammed. Turn off the printer and turn it on again, take
out the paper tray, and then remove the jammed paper from the paper
outlet. If you cannot remove the jammed paper, consult with your Sony
dealer or service facility.
If no indicator is lit or flashing:
The thermal head may be overheated. Leave the printer until the head cools down and the printer resumes printing.
hello, probably the printer takes his own color-profiles installed by epson. Click on propriaties of the printer and create your own color-profile for diferent sizes. you can take the color-profile from a smaler size and save it choosing an other size. So You also can improove your pictures by changing the color-profile after your needs... but then you should use the same paper , because different papers give different colors. you can also improove the colors by choosing-on the profile-another type of paper.
