KVT 617 ..... this unit is working screan and ll work ... but just today a screw that holds a supprt arm for the screan fell out and i inserted it back in but im thinking somthing must have slightly bent because the screan pops out and everything works but it wont retract all the way back in . it just folds down and wont retract

Contact the manufacture and tell them your kid was playing around with it and accidently locked it. They might make you send it in or/and charge you a fee. Good luck.

On bypasses you can either hook the parking brake wire straight to ground, if that does not work you can install a toggle switch between the parking brake wire and ground so you can mimic the parking brake on off.

My KVT-617 display unit was stolen out of my dash, but they neglected to snag the items under the rear seat: the "brain" hideaway unit, the HD radio receiver, the 10 disc CD changer, the navigation unit, and the powered subwoofer.
Everything was replaced via the insurance except the sub because the new system was not compatible with the old components. Make me an offer on the items you want!
