could this be an OB code? if so it is an off balance code meaning the wash load is to unbalanced.open the lid redistribute the load and start it back up. all of the manuals for the calypso do not show any numbers or an 06
is this the code your refering to
ob"
Off Balance
If the motor controller detects an unrecoverable off-balance condition, the machine controller will shut down and display an "ob" for Off Balance The lid switch must be opened at least once before restarting the cycle, if this condition occurs. Opening the lid will allow the customer to view and redistribute the load.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display
cuz they list no code 06 hope this helps
I've had a similiar problem on my calypso. In my case the key pad would go dead after washing or pushing stop after a few minutes. If I unpluged the unit for a few minutes it would work again. This would appear to be in the controller board. I removed the board and inspected it finding no problems. After re-installing the board the washer appears to be working again. My conclusion is that there is a loose connector/connection. I'd suggest you remove and re-install all the connectors on the controller board. This is the board closest to the power chord.
The OB indicates and out of balance condition has been detected by the motor control. One thing about the OB error is that the lid must be opened to clear the error and allow the washer to advance to the next part of the cycle. If the lid is not opened to adjust the clothes then the OB error will happen again.
If the OB error was cleared and the OB occurs with an empty load then the motor control has failed.
The drain pump must work. The image below shows how to run a diagnostic test to check the drain pump. Follow the instructions in the image below and check the drain pump operation. If the pump runs and the water does not drain then the sump is clogged. If the pump hums but does not run then the pump needs to be replaced.
LD (long drain). possible blockage at pump..check to see if pump spline is stripped. also if the drain hose is plumbed in airtight then this may be slowing the draining process.
